Rosehip Oil - Benefits & Ways To Use

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Hi Friends - In Today's video we are discussing Rosehip Oil, or Rosehip Seed Oil. We will cover its benefits and ways to use Rosehip Oil.
I will be taking a closer look at Rosehip Oil and talking through the many ways I have been using it for hair, skin and body.
Rose hip seed oil is a pressed seed oil, extracted from the seeds of the wild rose bush (Rosa moschata or Rosa rubiginosa) in the southern Andes. Rosehip seed oil can also be extracted from Rosa canina, which grows in many regions of the world including South Africa and Europe. The fruits of the rosehip have been used in folk medicine for a long time.

I swear by reship oil, it doesn't feel greasy and I use it before bed. It cleared up my acne scarring and my skin also looks so healthy.

I used this in a oil mixture I made for preventing stretch marks during pregnancy since I am prone to stretch marks. I mixed with Vit E, Sweet Almond Oil, Jojoba oil, olive oil, and rose hip seed oil mixed with a little essential oils for scent and it worked! No stretch marks during my pregnancy!

I use it on it's own before bed, in the morning sometimes and lately i mixed rosehip oil with few drops of vitamin e, jojoba, lavander and patchouli oil and feels like the effect is even better. I do have a question : what brands of natural, cold pressed, organic oils would you recommend? I personally use amour natural and i tried naissance as a cheeper version but also the quality is lower. Thanks! Keep up with the great work!

Hi Ramona, I use the brand in my description box. It’s a company called facetheory. They are a British company and are cruelty free, organic and vegan. They also have switched to sustainable and recyclable packaging, reducing plastic use as much as possible. The factory is based in South Yorkshire too which is where I’m from so it’s nice for me to support local enterprises that support local people with jobs. *I have been reimbursed for items from facetheory that I purchased previously as a thank you for my continued support of the company, but I continue to shop with them from my own money regardless. There is a discount link in the description box, I don’t earn any money from this link*

I use them some days but not every single day. I would recommend trying oils in the ways outlined in the video and then decide what works best for you.

I am an avid user of pure plant oils myself, but I think that the benefits they offer are somewhat overrated. Even in your video you used the words "can", "could potentially" and "ancedotal claims" when referring to the benefits. A vegetable oil you apply onto your stratum corneum cannot sink into your skin as deeply as to stimulate collagen production because it cannot pass the barrier. Nevertheless it's nice to indulge in that imagination, isn't it? ;-)

  • @KirstyKirby

Hi Teresa. That’s exactly why I use those words. There are lots of videos on here that suggest plant oils are some sort of panacea without offering any point of reference. This is also why I include multiple studies in the description box for people to do their own research, but hopefully in a quicker way than I did by spending hours finding those studies. It’s also important to remember that studies for cosmetic products are usually much smaller numbers than most clinical trials for medicine, many of them focussing on the participants opinions than any controlled outcome - for example they don’t control someone’s diet whilst using the oil or cream etc etc. The statement re collagen production is from a study that looked at topical vitamin c production. I didn’t claim rosehip oil did this, nor should anyone else, but to suggest it’s just in my imagination is a bit unfair. The research is there and referenced, and I’m careful over my use of words and claims. For reference the conclusion of the study states : CONCLUSION: Our study shows that topically applied vitamin C is highly efficient as a rejuvenation therapy, inducing significant collagen synthesis in all age groups with minimal side effects. Personally I use oils as I favour more natural products, over the last few years I’ve been moving away from lots of ingredients in cosmetics. But everyone should do their own research and decide is what they believe, and what is best for them.

Castor oil growing eye brows that I cut of 20 years ago! They didn't grow for 20 years and a month after black castor oil They have grown back. Some work. Matter of fact most beaty care products have oil in them. They are underated. Humans exaggerate as well, so you have to do your research! Also, hair is growing on the back of my neck where it has never grew before from black castor oil! Coconut oil hair mask, soften hair better than any store bought deep conditioner. They work better when they are warmer than room temp!
