Rope basket tutorial/ Smaller size/diy

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Come on the journey with me as I make a 6 inch rope basket with the straightest sides that my machine will allow.
I think this one came out perfect.
In this video I am using 5/16 braided cotton rope from
Knot and rope supply online store.
A 6 mm or 1/4 inch clothesline rope can also be used .

I'd have to take my cover off before you did, or at least loosen the screw, which is at the left side of the machine. I wish it was at the back! Can't wait to get started on some bowls! Thanks for all of your tips and visuals!

Thank you! I have a Bernina 880+ so will have to make a larger basket to achieve straight sides. But now I know!!!

I have the same Brothers machine. The “F” is for second set of decorative stitches. I found it out by accident. 13:08

Love how you finished it. It’s raw at the end with that scrap of leather….that is leather right? It’s lovely.

Not really sure, I haven’t tried that but you would be sewing on outside …hmmm I’ll have to think on that.
