What a festive decoration to put out next Easter! I have scrap strips, but they aren't cut on a bias, as a quilter, they are scraps from cutting quilt pieces. I'm hoping they will still work to cover the rope. I've never made the rope baskets, but I'm ready to try. I usually quilt, and have made fabric baskets with Pellon stiff interfacing. Time for something new, for me, anyway.😊

Regular straight cut strips will work too but might be a bit more fraying …I did one basket that way but look good too, maybe a little more rustic looking . Have fun Wendy❣️

What size rope did you use? Thanks a bunch, love your video!

Melanie, sorry just saw your question, I used 1/4 inch rope or 6mm clothesline type rope for this basket.

Omg. What is wrong with your music in between talking? That is horrible and could ruin someone's speakers. I want to watch your videos, I hope it's just a glitch on this one.
