You can try using a large needle , size 16 is what I use, I have brother strong and tuff sewing machine. I would say this machine sews rope easier than my embroidery machine. Singer also makes a heavy duty machine that I have seen used for sewing rope. If you already have a machine I suggest the right needle for your project (16 or 18 size) It also depends on the type of rope , trial and error is how I learned what works… cotton rope works best for my machine.
