I wish that sentiment was held by more people. I find it is easy for people to say people deserve someone to love/be loved. But the toxicity of the internet would disagree. As soon as you are sad about not having someone and the pain of not having someone like so many others around you, you get labelled an incel for literally almost anything without proof of any wrongdoings and the internet piles on. It sucks being alone, especially when peoples common response is to just insult you when sad.

Pearl, what I am saying is that most people and certainly the majority of people on here leaving loving wonderful comments about these precious beings will have no trouble eating them. Are you aware of factory farms and slaughter houses, do you know about the abuse,suffering and violent murders of these kind innocent beings,do you eat chickens or their eggs ? Did you know that male chicks are ground up alive because they don't lay eggs ? Be vegan for the Animals !!

I think eating meat is okay, but here is what I believe. If you're gonna kill something for food, don't make it suffer. Make it the most humane way possible, and always thank that animal for its sacrifice because you are taking another life away for food. I don't support how slaughter houses treat their animals too

This warms my heart especially towards the owners who have done everything for these 2 love birds including the wheelchair. That's what a responsible pet owner looks like .

I'm amazed at the depth of feelings these chickens are capable of. This makes me wonder if societies have been programmed to believe animals have no feelings to enable populations to use them as food? Chicken USED TO BE one of my favorite meals. I've developed a healthy respect for those vegans who refuse to eat meat because of their concerns for ALL animals!

I think it's that historically people didn't have the luxury of getting attached to their food. In fact, it wasn't too long ago that people didn't even see typical pets (dogs, cats) in quite the same way we do now. But each generation has become a little more open, and a little more bonded to their animals, now that we aren't facing the real threat of starvation every day. Of course there are still places all over the world where even common pets are eaten every day.

I love how people are waking up to the fact all living creatures are sentient. Thank you for sharing.

I'm gonna say the proof rn All sentient beings can feel pain, and they have feelings, just like us most animals are sentient. Animals that are not sentient are like coral, hydra and sea sponges

Not always. Most chickens are assholes that will literally eat each other at the first sign of weakness and almost NEVER form these kind of close social bonds if they are kept in any sort of numbers. Its why its so special when you find one that does and its even more special when you find a person that helps such sweethearts flourish. Love is a funny thing, it really does know no boundaries. As much as people like to harp on how bad humans are for the natural world humans have been able to bond with nearly every kind of animal you care to name, from lions to skunks, and even help animals form lifelong bonds that they would never form naturally in the wild. Hell, we have even gotten to the point where we routinely give cheetah's therapy dogs! In the end, it all comes down to love and valuing the individual as an individual no matter what.

What else can I say? The guy is in love! You can clearly see it in his eyes and actions. I see pairs of my outdoor cardinals that exhibit this same type of behavoir. They feed and preen one another constantly. Such a beautiful thing! There are no dumb animals.

The love you give them is all they need to know how to live a life of love! Thank you for gracing them with your all encompassing compassion and loving dedication! You are an angel!!

Most people who say they love animals also eat them ! Dog lovers don't eat their dogs. Cat lovers don't eat their cats. Animal lovers don't eat animals. There is no moral justification for killing and eating animals.
