I have a chicken named Wednesday (after the tv character because she acts and dances like her). And she has a complete, complex, loving personality. When her mom died, she pressed herself against my chest and cried and cried for over an hour. I just held her and echoed her cries. She has three new friends now and is the leader, teaching them the ropes.

How do chickens cry? Also how is Wednesday Adams from the TV show complex and loving?

I had a pet rooster as a child. We were very bonded. Our neighbors hated him at first because he started crowing at 4am, but they grew to love him as he’d come to their houses to visit. They’d all let him in for a snack and some scritches. He loved to ride the handlebars on my bike, so everyone knew and loved him.

He is beautiful! As is his little family ❤️

What a wonderful relationship these two have. I love how loving she looks at him.

We have a Rooster and hen. At first they were just a couple of chickens that invited themselves into our backyard but quickly we became attached and now they’ve become family members! Very entertaining to watch and somewhat of an education them being here.

I never thought that roosters could be so beautiful! What a magnificent bird ❤

Birds are so underrated, they have their own personality and really love you and want to be with you 24/7. I cant imagine living without them. Mine passed away this morning after a very long and happy life. 😟 He made my life so much better ❤

So very sorry--it's hard to say goodbye to our companion critters.

There is a great rooster who lives a couple of streets over,and he crows during the day loudly enough that you'd think that he is right next door! I love to hear him when I'm gardening. I say out loud , "I hear you sweetie!" Bree is really a beautiful boy. You and your family are very blessed to have him and he, you. ❤

We have 2 roosters. Lovely gents, both of them. They treat their ladies like queens, and when they misbehave they get 'rooster snuggles', i.e. I carry them around and pet them while I do my work. They hate it. But they don't try to spur me or get too sassy after they get a reminder that humans are big, strong, and like to cuddle. And nobody ever gets hurt this way. Nothing like being hauled around like a football while your lady friends eat goodies to humble a puffed up roo. Next time they get sassy I am going to threaten them with moving them into the house with me. Mwa ah ah ahh ahhhh.

In kindergarten we hatched eggs and volunteers took the chicks home to raise. I got a hen and a rooster. The hen unfortunately got out of the yard and eaten by neighbor’s dogs 😥 (they were hunting dogs RIP Gertrude) but my rooster, Spot, was my buddy. He protected me like he would a hen and loved to chill with me on the couch and often shared my food. We ended up getting him more hens, but we were very bonded. I love roosters!

Same! I took home what we thought was a baby hen in third grade. It turned out to be a rooster and he was very attached to me. Unfortunately a cat got him around 6 months old, just as he was learning to crow. He was an amazing animal

@jjradV Absolutely. I'm not a vegan or vegetarian, nor will I ever be. Protein is essential and plants don't provide nearly as much nor do they provide other essential nutrients that meat does. People who dont eat meat or animal by-products are also at a greater risk of vitamin, mineral and nutrient deficiencies. Now, go ask other people these stupid questions.

Eating someone's corpse is not healthy, the hospitals and graveyards are full of meat eaters. If eating animals and their secretions were healthy for you it would not cause all the disease and death that it does. Heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, osteoporosis, cancer,obesity, diabetes etc.

Wow, what a beautiful, gorgeous rooster.

Love to see Bree again! I have 3 pet hens , just as pampered. They are family and I find them 110% cleaner than dogs or cats. And twice as loyal and affectionate. Their poop is simple to clean up, smells good and goes into my garden. They used to have perches inside my house, but over time every one has decided they need to sleep in my bed. We have coffee and cuddling every morning. I refuse to participate in the sadistic poultry industry, and that includes not owning dogs or cats. Their food is made from the tragedy known as the egg industry.

They are all beautiful gorgeous animals.

@jjradV I do eat cheese. And seldom eat any meat. My grandfather had a pet chicken who was his best friend when he was a young boy (1911ish) and vowed to never eat chicken. I live on his ranch today and only eat the apples🍎🍏 All the animals are pets to me. 🥰🐮🐑🐴🐱🐶🦝🦨🦡🦉🦅🌻🌳
