Stick to cricket. Also, Rooney was never world class...world class implying he could play for Milan or Barca. Most brit players were rough and played, direct football most of them dirty....think wazza and most manure players. Only Lampard and Gerrard were technically gifted to play in serie a or la liga don't tell me overhpye was technically gifted player cos he would chop down many players and then get slapped silly in the other leagues. Rooney was a typical brit brute type of player.

Rooney was consistently a big game player since 16. Never hid in a game, even if he was playing badly his drive and determination would produce something.

bruh im a huge fan of Bale., but give me Wazza anytime, anyday, anywhere.. He was a complete player.. he can play anywhere upfront., drop deep, can create, can pass, unselfish, drops back.. total team player.

Rooney over Bale every day

Totally different players and positions so i don't really get the comparison but at their absolute peak Bale for me, he always made a difference in big games but Rooney was also amazing!!

I'm a spurs fan and there is nothing wrong with picking Rooney over Bale.

Different sides and both are as good as each other. Walker edges it for me based on his pace. said cole was the best LB in the world for a while while he was playing but walkers got this one. Different level. Todays city team would absolutely hammer any team cole has ever played in

If you were going to have one of them defending against Bale it would be Walker without any question. Cole wasn’t as good of a defender. Pace is the biggest part of being a good defender in modern football.

Did bale even have 3 really good seasons? He scored big goals in big games but was pretty underwhelming for the most part. While rooney is probably the best premier league player of all time, maybe henry but still

I watch laliga regularly and am a barca fan.....it pains me to see this but Bale was phenomenal in the regular season too....His speed was out of this world and his finishing was better than Rooney. I feel Bale is disrespected because most english fans watch the Premier League only.

3,one he came on as sub when they were already cruising it. did very little when Ronaldo left yes a good player in an excellent Real Madrid team. BUT Rooney's Work rate was fantastic. if bale had shown the same commitment to Real as he did with Wales when Ronaldo left then yes that would be different. don't go comparing wales with England.
