Nah, he tried to open the pack a bit twice in the beginning and missed both times, had to play the long red the second time. Probably because he didn’t take it to seriously. He’s just very good at getting out of what might have been a though spot for lesser players

nz rockdj if u are talking to me mate I got my facts off of tv interviews when ronnie was saying how they used to give good money and a car for every 147 but now they don't and he was discussing it with (I think john virgo) and Virgo was saying that they have lowered the prize because of ronnie,cause before him it was a lot rarer occurrence so they paid bigger prizes but because he so prolific at getting 147s it's been lowered,they were also saying that that's wrong no matter how many ronnie makes it's still a fantastic achievement so the prize should reflect that achievement and they thought it was wrong to lower it,and they were joking around with Ron saying your 2 good for your own good mate.so right or wrong that's where I got it from and no i can't remember what event they were interviewing him after or when it was but I THINK it was after his 146 but I'm not 100% on that. Anyway mate if it was me u were talking 2 then as I say it was ronnie and the interviewers i got my "facts" from NOT my personal theory lol

Made a statement. 147 is the perfect break, don't lowball us when we give you and the audience perfection and get your tournament clicks and attention. It helps him in the long run but more importantly, it helps every other player capable of running a perfect break

You all should really know 147 isn't potentially the highest break. If you use a free ball it could be a break of 155 with a potential score of thousands if not more from numerous fouls from your opponent before you make said break.

If he makes 147, the viewership increases for the next televised tournament he enters. There was a time when Tiger Woods made as much for an appearance fee just to play in a tournament as the eventual winner of the event won. The networks are wise to the fact that their ratings go through the roof when the biggest name in any sport agrees to make an appearance, and viewers translate to money. Ronnie understands what his name is doing for them and expects to be paid.

Only a person who plays snooker in real life can appreciate how he smashes that blue in carelessly and sets himself up with a natural angle on the pink😭

@@shemingway549 Not consistently, but when he's at the top of his game he's the equal of Ronnie. The difference is Ronnie has been at that level for a long time, Judd hasn't. But Judd still has time.

You know you have conquered your sport when your fellow opponents struggle to make 147s and you out right just refuse to make one coz you cant be bothered 😂. If you want him to make 147s then pay the man what he deserves. Ronnie is a 1 of 1 player will never be another like him.

This is probably one of the coolest things ever, if ya think about it.. a 147 is a rare occurrence for any player especially at this level and on this stage.. But to actually go out and pull one out the bag to protest is and make a point is unreal if ya think about it..

Did he do the 146 to challenge others a chance at 147? The confidence on this guy is unreal 😂

A very big number of players on the planet are dominated by the table, Rocketman are dominating it ,and no one does it like him, and no one ever has or will do !! Today he is 42 and he probably play the most flawless snooker we have ever seen him play. And he is such a great guy aswell, big big heart there!! That's how you can do if you are unique. This ain't arrogance, this snooker protesting which is done on the table and it's quiet. It is a quiet sport afterall and actions therefore speak louder than words. The smirk after he potted the pink tells you everything you needed to know.

I refuse 147s all the time. But much, much earlier in the break. Usually around 15….

Ronnie O Sullivan is different class even than the best of the rest Stephen Hendry. There's no one like him.

What a player so incredible and cant blame him , hes an inspiration he was sticking it to the man , 147 he can do it if wants when he wants .

This 146 is more memorable than a 147 - we remember it more than most maximums.

Fair enough as well ... dart players get more just for getting 9 perfect darts ... a perfect frame of Snooker should be £147,000 every time no matter the tournament ... a 147 is by far the hardest feat in any sport

@@RideBikes_Walkplaces For the likes of Alex Honnold, it's not that difficult to free solo, the idea is you are never pushed near your limit. He said so in his Joe Rogan podcast.

... Just like ronnie's performance here, but in each case that's only because each of them has committed tens of thousands of hours of muscle memory to making the difficult easy. But the difficulty level of getting to the point where you can free solo el cap is orders of magnitude above getting to the point where you can make a 147. And of course the mental challenge is incomparable, because if you err once free soloing el cap, you die. Imagine if there had been a man with a pistol to ronnie's head, waiting for him to make the pink instead of the black, lol.

moaning about it only being £10,000, - but its snooker that has made him rich enough that he can casually turn down £10,000 without a worry.

@@andy4ward.slavaukraini.364 he didn't turn down 10,000 on that occasion (though he probably would as thinks it should be much higher) The 10,000 you refer to was for highest break in tournament. There was no bonus whatsoever for a maximum break. So be quiet. Also his protests are not just about himself they are about rewarding all players with what they deserve when they enrich tournaments with maximum breaks.
