No denial and no question about it. Ronnie is just a special breed for snooker. How can anyone beat someone who plays with two hands which are equally lethal? There's no hidden corners for him. @@mfbf6440 Easily the most gifted. 5 minute maximum, can make century breaks left handed, won the masters days after getting a new cue, the 2013 word title after not playing all season. Hendry obviously had great natural talent but not on Ronnie's level. If he'd worked with Steve Peters earlier in his career he'd have more than 10 world titles by now. Only his battles with depression and addiction stopped him dominating completely. Hendry's era was much easier to dominate. His main competition was Jimmy White. As soon as Ronnie, Higgins and Williams came of age in the late 90s he fell down the rankings. Ronnie by contrast has been able to continually compete with and beat the younger generations, Ding, Robertson, Murphy, Trump etc.

That's what he will be remembered for outside the trophy, that's what will turn into a myth and legend, that's what it is and what will be the trajectory and desired goal for each new snooker player, all that is what it is and what will be characterized as the right way to play that game.
