This was one frame. Max breaks don't win games. Consistency does. And let's be honest women don't really exist in snooker. She's the best example, she dominated women snooker world and it's been years for her constantly on top. Great accomplishment, obviously. But then she can't have a single word against top tier men snooker players with the best accomplishments of not losing so hard. I don't think Ronnie even took that match seriously, tbh.

I can do constant breaks between 45 and 56 is my highest and I don't know how people can play in front of crows , our club isn't massive but few people would watch an instantly it put me off. Ronnie and Steven Hendry are my hero's, when Hendre was basically a baby in snooker but beating everyone my nan would wake me up to come watch I loved it cos was always early am games. But there was one guy who I thought this guy is going to be the best, from my town, Paul hunter, I don't remember who he played might have been Hendry or osullivan but he came back like 9 frames to win the championship , I was like how is he doing this and so focused and in the interview it was something like "my head had gone, I knew I'd lost but we had an intermission and I just thought well might as well bang the mrs backstage" 😂 when he went back to the table he just became a super human, gone too soon that lad 😔

As already mentioned in the comments, its his longevity at the top of the game thats mind boggling!! Imagine how much more he could have achieved if he had managed to tame his demons (well documented and openly talked about by Ronnie) earlier in his career!

I'm almost 56 years old. I've been playing all the variations of American billiards for nearly 45 years. I only encountered, really encountered, snooker, about a year ago. I've always thought straight pool was the pinnacle of billiards. Until I found snooker. And Ronnie O'Sullivan. Just simply incredible. He always inspires me. How billiards CAN be played.

@Putin Did It Technically true. But for expediency's sake, I refer to any game that has balls on a table as a "billiard" game. I simply choose not to spend my life defining the differences between true billiards, the variations of pool, snooker, and carom when conversations arise. But like I said, you are correct. And it appears we agree, snooker is incredible. Sadly, the nearest snooker table is 130 miles/200 kms away.

I remember Cliff Thorburn's 147 at the Crucible and that DID take forever, possibly because Cliff Thorburn was slow anyway and also he probably knew he was doing something very special. Since then 147 breaks have been happening far more often in televised tournaments, illustrating the very high standards in modern professional snooker.
