I’m the biggest Falling in Reverse fan ever- So I’m not tryna be a hater when I say it can’t be very hard to just record a songs lyrics that have existed for already 20 years. It’s not like he had to write it. Lmfao. The simping is a little much, even for me, a die hard fan
Brings to mind Doctor Who and Vincent Van Gough: “He transformed the pain of his tormented life into ecstatic beauty. Pain is easy to portray, but to use your passion and pain to portray the ecstasy and joy and magnificence of our world, no one had ever done it before.”
I love both versions and it's awesome to realize that the song takes two paths. In the original, there is a palatable sense of rage/anger and finality but in this version you get hurt, reflection, and someone begging to be heard. It's awesome to have different results from the same lyrics

Yes yes yes I need to absolutely need to hear that!!!
I went to the falling in reverse / papa roach concert a couple months ago when they were doing their rockzilla tour. The lead singer of papa roach actually got very real between songs, talking about depression, how good it is to be alive, and dedicating songs to people going through hard times. There's a ton of emotion and energy when they're on stage, that gets lost with the aggressive style recording of this song. So after touring with them, I can see why Ronnie would get inspired and think of doing the song this way.
This version of the song had me in tears this version hit me way more than Papa Roach's version especially the lyrics

@@niklassrk Exactly! Papa Roach gave us the aggressive teenage cry for help. The feeling of desperately wanting someone to notice just how much you're hurting and not knowing who or where to turn. Falling In Reverse gave us the adult resignation of knowing where and who to turn to, but being too afraid (having gone on for so long with this feeling) to turn to anyone. Feeling trapped with these feelings of depression and anxiety, wanting to fall apart and get help, but telling yourself to put yourself back together (as you can see in the video with the buildings falling apart then reversing at the end) just to go through it all again the next day.

The Magical artistry of Ren and Ronnie has reawakened my love of music! In all my 56 years... ive never seen such artists who can do it all so well, while crossing genre's with ease!!!
I love how despite being a Reimagined of someone else's song. He made it roll into his musical Universe, The fact that the music video takes place after "Watch the world burn" is so poetic
The greatest thing about music is that it's open to interpretation no matter what and everyone can interpret the same lyrics differently. In this case, the same song delivered differently can mean 2 completely different things. This song was written to convey a cry for help. Papa Roach performed it in a way that conveyed they were angry with their lives and didn't want it anymore. Radke delivers it as a beaten human to is desperate for a reason to live. Music is the only language that is universally understood no matter where you live or who you are.
it's the city of watch the world burn the first shot is the part where the beds surround it, I love this chronology that he does to represent how he rebuilds everything in his own way
The original makes me want to hit a punching bag, this makes me want to weep. Both a way of releasing emotion, but in very different manners. Just like these two versions.
It’s insane what Ronnie does. How he can express emotion through this vocals is on another level. At the end you can almost hear him gritting his teeth out of sadness. The statues crying is so symbolic and everything crumbling around him…this is a true masterpiece.
i love that it's a really emotional song, (this version actually made me cry) - but in the video he's healing the world from the aftermath of Watch the World Burn. I LOVE THIS GUY SO MUCH
Ronnie's music is the perfect example of Good and evil being caught in the same person and battling between each other 😭❤
He is so good to ad emotions to his voice. He really make you feel how deep the lyrics are. I dont understand how some people can say he isn't talented. He is incredibly talented.

It took me until 2023... being 33... (and admittedly never looking at the lyrics) to figure out that the lyrics weren't "If I took my life tonight, chances are dynamite" It would have been so cool if they could have played this live. It's still surreal to me, that I actually got a chance to see them this year. Ronnie is an artistic God, and it shows in how much he puts into literally every aspect of his career
This did it for me. Last resort is one of the songs that helped me survive my younger years. I’m 35 years old and have many scars from when I was 13. Hiding them with watches from my mom on the way to school, getting tattoos to try and cover them up. Ronnie really is on a different level and I’m so proud of what he is doing.
I think we are witnessing a new form of music right now, you see artist like Ren, Ronnie and NF, even Eminem making these inner battle songs. They take the depression, anger, fear and then towards the end turn it into hope, pride and power! It's a wonderful mix and I am fuhking here for it. Obviously these hit hard for many people, myself included. When I was watching the crumbling of the buildings, the symbolism is powerful. It's like when my world felt like it was crumbling then it stopped and you you rebuild it! It's just powerful, the aggressive power is the key. No longer do I feel as depressed, I feel more fuhking angry, at myself mainly for allowing this to progress and beat me down for so long. Anyways great reaction Knox, love your channel!
fave reactor by a mile. the way you analyze, empathize, humanize and strip down artists and their beautiful creations is immense

I never heard this cover song till I was driving home from work this afternoon in a thunderstorm and it came on the radio. My work day was a bit rough today. I wasn't expecting this song to be this emotional. Tears streamed down my face as I listened to it. It was just what I needed. Just a simple cry that was buried in my soul. This cover is one of the best I've heard.
This song is difficult to sing, but Ronnie nailed it especially the “cut my life” part, just perfect arrangement. I know they’re good friends but Jacoby must be proud.
This version makes me feel things I never have listening to the PR version. The way Ronnie sings the song you can feel the torment the person was feeling that Jacoby was writing about.
It hits even heavier when you've BEEN on that edge and fought that life or death battke inside your head.
I wish there were more songs out there like this. Songs with this modern chords and lyrics and melodies, but they have this epic feel and grand scale because of the orchestra
He nailed this. He's made it as powerful as JC's cover of Hurt. (For me)

Exactly!
When he screams it has such raw despair and hope and anger it perfectly captures that moment when you have already hurt yourself and the regret hits and then your suddenly trying to live. 😢
The way that the video ends and the ashes/flames diminish back into the Earth and it heals, it's the opposite of how Watch the World Burns ends. At the end of Watch the World Burn, Ronnie burns the Earth and it's the same location of the planet that heals at the end of this video.
Great reaction! Ronnie has highlighted the amazingly sad Papa Roaches lyrics to another level. 😢
He went in the studio, made this, one take, one version, that says everything about this man! He made a masterpiece with this one for sure!
The way I view the song is that this is Ronnie’s world.
What I liked is that it took the Earth from the Watch the World Burn and healed it at the end. Such an amazing moment .
Knowing that this song is hitting people as hard as it’s hitting me just adds to the perfection of it… I haven’t been this entranced by a song in a long time…
This reminds me of a really good song by Architects called Doomsday who did the exact same thing, and I honestly think their Piano Reprise is so beautiful
When I first heard this and saw the video, I felt it so deeply. To me, this video is a representation of walking through the darkness of depression and anxiety I experience every single day. It is eye opening.
I love both versions so much but for two totally different reasons. One for more of an angry, anxious depression, the other for the really low, deep melancholic depression.... If that makes sense... Hard to explain... I cant get enough of this one though 🖤
You need to listen to some Bloodywood! They are an Indian Metal band. The song Dana Dan (bring the beat down) is about defending the ladies we love. It's hard af, turn on captions.

I’ve seen multiple comments where people say the original version was full of angst, anger that we felt when we were younger and starting to feel that pain. Ronnie’s version is desperation we feel now going through it for so long.
Someone commented on Papa's TikTok duet of this saying that Papa's version is the teenage rage, and FIR version is the broken adult. It's so fitting. I love both versions.

Ronnie motherf-ing Radke, the only man who can make the original sounds like a cover, such a beautiful masterpiece !
this one got me in the feels.......big time. WOW what talent.
A few things. First, Knox, my man, the first video of yours I saw was your break down of Popular Monster and I loved your examination of that song. Love your work, man. Second, I've found with Falling in Reverse when I hear the song first I get one thing from it, but then when I see the video I always find much greater depth and more layers than I had imagined existed in each and every song. Third I saw someone say this in a post on another reaction video to this song: Papa Roach: We were teenagers angry at the world. Ronnie Radke: We're broken adults ground down by the world. I've been listening to this song for a bit, love both versions but yes, the roach's version is very much angry and angsty. Ronnie's version is desperate, driven to the edge, teetering over the abyss. But something with the video, to me the way everything rebuilds at the end with 'wish somebody would tell me I'm fine' and even though he's still saying nothing is fine the rebuilding, the repairing seems to offer this sense of hope, this little glimmer of light in the darkness. Maybe that's just me, but the video gives me a much more hopeful feeling than just listening to the song on its own. HAHA i just heard you say the same thing about hope and rising up as I was typing this comment.
Thank you! I've watched quite a few reaction videos to this song, and no one has called this song haunting (exactly what I thought the first time I heard it), but finally someone else called it that, too. Grew up with Papa Roach's version, loved it forever, but this rendition feels as if it's splitting your soul open and exposing what truly lies within.
You notice the fire going backwards on Earth at the end? While "Watch the World Burn" had all the fire spreading out across the planet at the end of the video
Ronnie is 1 in a million from the beginning till now this day just bananas
I knew the lyrics but never felt them until Ronnie's version. This best kind of cover, where the original and the re-imagining (what a great word) are both so outstanding but take up space as completely different songs.
The original is such a great song and an alltime classic, but I really enjoyed this cover as well. Puts the lyrics in a more prominent place and helps them to shine even brighter, just kinda proves how although the original is commonly known as a banger the lyrics themselves are seriously underrated
This song is like absolute opposite of "watch the world burn". Visual, voice, music
I love how the end of the video shows his screaming undoing the damage he did with Watch The World Burn.
I ain't even gonna lie, from the way it's composed, I felt stuff welling up. I lost my mother when I was young, so when I heard the original version a long time ago, it resonated deeply, and I felt alot of those feelings, and this captures the feeling so crazily. Well fucking done.
been having this song on repeat, when i first saw the video and heard the song got my emotions flowing, he never disappoints, just going up for Ronnie
This music is incredible. As always, I cherish your reactions and words!
I have a whole new appreciation for the this song and Papa Roaches lyrics. Brilliant.
Much love and appreciation from Kentucky ❤️🙏❤️🇺🇸
Whats cool is that at the end of the music video it shows the world healing instead of burning down which is the opposite of his previous song "watch the world burn" where at the end the entire world is collapsing
Did anyone else notice the ending looked like a reversal of the ending of Watch The World Burn? Like it might be some kind of restoration.
Again we all were blown away by his talent. I like how this version of ''Ronnie'' reverts the damage that ''bad Ronnie'' did in watch the world burn at the end of the video.
