He said it took him 20 minutes. Which means he had to have used 5 minute mud. When you use 5 minute mud, you can use your blade to smooth out the mud as it dries. So there is no need to sand. I have finished entire rooms like this. Walls and ceilings. You have to mix your mud in a pan and only in small amounts or else it dries before you can use it all. We always put the sand in the pan, then squeezed a wet sponge over it and mixed it with our blades directly in the pan. Seems like more work but it is actually a lot less than having to sand everything afterwards. You can try 10,15,20 minute muds while you’re gradually learning. You just put the mud on, then just before it’s dry and still pliable, you scrape out the bubbles and leave it smooth. No sanding and no dust.

I was a jewelers apprentice for a few months, and that’s basically it. Most people can KZread how to be a jeweler in their garage after buying the proper equipment. It takes practice and patient. But yeah, jewelry is ridiculously expensive for what you get.

@KekkusMaximus
Жыл бұрын
@@therobustempyrean1436 In Italy we tipically use 18k gold for jewelry (more resistant and cheaper) at this very moment it costs around 43.64€/gram. A wedding ring weights around 1-7 grams for a woman and 3-9 grams for a man, let's pick the middle numbers so let's say 4 grams for a woman and 6 grams for a man. This brings you to a material cost of at least 174,56€ for a woman and 261.84€ for a man, that's not considering potential loss of material through manufacturing and the cost of the tools needed to work the metal into a suitable ring so the final price will be obviously higher if you want to do it yourself, let alone if you want to put some stones into them rings but that's a personal choice.
@tantalus_complex

My spouse and I learned how to make rings out of non-ferrous metals (silver, gold, copper, etc.), in an evening, in ~2.5 hours, for something like $200. This was from an "AirBnb Experience" I paid for when visiting another city. I've been wearing the silver band I made that night since then. I stamped a woodgrain-like pattern into the band with a hammer and basically the flat head of a screwdriver. People are surprised to find out that it wasn't professionally done. It's been months but I can still explain the whole process without double-checking anything. I'm not exceptional. It's just not a complicated process. Though, you can make it more complicated with some optional choices. But it should be said that there is a lot of room for _skill_ which shouldn't be overlooked. If you don't have skills in design, attention to detail, and working with small objects, then keep the ring simple. And if you want to try something complicated, like creating a setting for a gemstone, or some sculpted metalwork, you're going to need quite a bit more practice. But the basic process itself can be learned easily with a good guide, a little practice, and a little care and patience.

Nah, he disguised himself as anitar (probably spelled that wrong) the lord of gifts to the smiths of arregeon(probably spelled that wrong two) he taught them ring lore and spent hundreds of years making lesser rings of power to build their trust in him before making the major rings of power. The seven for the dwarf lords and 9 for mortal men. His idea was to have all of these rings connected to him so when he went off in secret to forge the one ring when he put it on he would instantly have dominion over anyone wearing the other rings of power. And because of the power these rings brought they would likely be in high positions of power. Anyways while he was doing this calibrimbor made 3 rings of his own and when Sauron put on the one ring everyone realized and took the rings off. So he gathered his armies, destroyed the city, and got back all of the rings except those 3. Then he distributed 9 to the kings of men and his plan worked perfectly on them. However the 7 he gave to the dwarf lords just made them more greedy leading to them delving too deep into the earth attracting durins bane and the dragons leading to their decline.

@@chrisleyva2509 I mean seeing him differently for playing a gay character makes you a child
I like that he says "people who buy things are suckers." While listing off all the things you'll need to buy (that just so happened to be handed down to him) in order to do what he did.
Role model..
Bruh obv making rings from scratch is a basic life skill🙄 people who actually buy it 🙄

Ppl who actually buy all the stuff he used instead of just buy a 20$ ring since they was just a plan ring no stones you can get them for basically nothing
If I could ever; I'd shake that man's hand and tell him thank you for giving us such a perfect character as Ron
"people who buy things are suckers"🤣🤣🤣🤣
"Scratch" is amazing stuff. You make just about anything from it.
Still convinced this is where all those youtubers showing how they can make a [item] in the span of their video and make it look so easy got their idea.
Him patching a hole he punched in the wall is an amazing detail
I like that hes playing himself in real life, good handyman, and does some really nice wood work
Its so cute when he silmes
20 mins is everything for him.
There just needs to be a show about this character. He had me at bacon and eggs.
Ron is literally my favorite character
Ron: "I can smell the sulfur, coming off her cloves and hooves" *starts running out of the court room*
We all need a Ron.
Possibly the best sitcom character in the last 20 years.
I used to make PHAT rings out of the brass from my mother’s old fireplace. It’s a lovely hobby 😊
