In her 1969 article Communalism and the writing the Ancient Indian History, Romila Thapar has made innumerable comments on religion, culture, literature, art, spirituality etc., which no serious scholar can ever make. Romila Thapar was just a young academic then. It is unlikely she had already studied the vast Indian history along with Hindu sastras and even a representative sample of the great body of Sanskrit literature. All her all comments, therefore, was just wild comments and guess-work.

I'm sorry but there's a protest against this lady because she didn't do proper research and actually listed an indigenous Indian community as Extremists. Why is the lady trying to educate the mass to look at the Bodos as militants or terrorists? In page number 378 of her book Ancient Indian Social History: Some Interpretation she referred to the Bodo community as a militant group. Thapar wrote, "Few in India pause to count the number of militant groups, that are terrorising the areas of the sub-continent and are not concerned with matters of Islam, such as the PW, the Naxalites, the Bodo, the Ulfa, a variety of groups in the Northeast, some of whom go back 50 years, and various mafias acting like private militias." Doesn't she know that Bodo is one of the scheduled languages of India? It's listed 3rd alphabetically in the 8th Schedule of the Indian Constitution. I think she was in the payroll of Nehru Gandhi family. She wrote a history which suits the then govt and the power center. Her history doesn't depict the objective history of India.

You are wrong. Nehru won through his Machevalian manipulation and Thapar, a relative, wrote the history that Nehru believed in -- anti-Hindu, pro-Muslim.
