Remarkable. Excellen expostition, wondeful example of how to conduct a Bible Study properly, under the guidance of a good teacherr used by the Holy Spirit and even though informal, shows the necessity of receiving the glorious truth eagerly and meditatively. No frivolous comments in this session, no one is trying to exalt himself, no one is disrespecting the work of the Spirit or this teacher or the men he is learning alongside. Very strong Bible study, makes me want to pick up Llooyd-Jones commentaries, listen to a few good sermons series on the book. I just want more. I want more and I want it in my life. This is so terribly convicting and so easiily digested and applied. Many years of teaching experience here, very valuable.

Remember Psalm 138:8.... The LORD will fulfill his purposes for me. Reminds me of Phil. 1:6 as well.

Romans chapter 1 says that none will be without excuse as God has been revealed to all. “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of people who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, that is, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, being understood by what has been made, so that they are without excuse. For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their reasonings, and their senseless hearts were darkened.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭1‬:‭18‬-‭21‬ ‭NASB2020‬‬

Bottomline: either you're chosen or not, rather than God looking at your works and judge you regarding those works (either good or bad, either persevering/seeking or doing evil). You can't do anything about. If you're chosen, you'd have faith and definitely finish. If you're not chosen, you won't have faith and wouldn't seek for glory, honor, and immortality. Even if you try to pursue these, if you're not chosen, you will receive anger, wrath, trouble, and distress. You're predetermined!

How can a believer plan out a sin?

At 13:11, Pastor Steve mentioned how we as believers will be judged according to our ministry. My question is, does this happen with the White Throne Judgement? Is it after that or before that? I think this is what Pastor John MacArthur called the Bema seat Judgement, (feel free to correct me) so when does this happen? Does this happen side by side with the White Throne Judgement?

@@thefellowheirs Will you go to Heaven when you die? Here’s a quick test: Have you ever lied, stolen, or used God’s name in vain? Jesus said, “Whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” If you have done these things, God sees you as a lying, thieving, blasphemous, adulterer at heart, and the Bible warns that one day God will punish you in a terrible place called Hell. But God is not willing that any should perish. Sinners broke God’s Law and Jesus paid their fine. This means that God can legally dismiss their case: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” Then Jesus rose from the dead, defeating death. Today, repent and trust Jesus, and God will give you eternal life as a free gift. Then read the Bible daily and obey it. God will never fail you

@@boogotti1173 yes. Agreed. Faith saves and works edify. Where's the differentiation between the two judgments is what I'm asking? From what I'm seeing the Bible says theres a day of judgment where we will all be judged. Why do you assume the Revelation 20:12 "Great White Throne" is separate from a believers judgment? Genuinely asking, Id like to study this more

Love how he claims all those judgments about our works are the wicked. We are all judged by our works. White throne is every man. Judgement seat is the whole world. John 5 is everyone who is resurrected. Revelation 11 and 22 same thing both wicked and righteous. He is a deceiver because he teaches a false doctrine of OSAS and that our works are only for rewards. The truth is they show what is in our hearts and that is what will save us or condemn us. We must endure until the end. It was never faith alone. That doctrine is going to send so many people down the wrong road. Revelation 11:18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth. All judged at same time. Revelation 22:11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. 12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

Jesus clarifies all these things. His parables cut through OSAS. OSAS is a necessary bending of the truth within the Protestant theological framework. The parable of the wedding banquet renders Romans 2 crystal clear. Ephesians 2:8-9 is the “grafting into the vine”. Romans 2 is “abiding in the vine” after being grafted in conversion. Ephesians 2:8-9 is crossing the Red Sea. Romans 2 is the testing in the wilderness (believers persevering to the end or not).

Except salvation doesn’t depend on you. If it did, no one would be saved. We’re saved by the works of Christ. Period! How much obedience do you need? How much holiness? How do you know if you’ve done enough? You can’t have peace with God through Jesus Christ that way. This isn’t OSAS. It’s God persevering the regenerate. Christ will lose NONE of which the Father GAVE Him. Do you even believe John 6?

@@jonathanrogers3751 it really isn’t because Christ will lose none of which the Father gives Him. That is literally the Will of the Father and He won’t fail. Salvation isn’t up to you. You’re saved UNTO good works, prepared beforehand that you should walk in them. He perseveres His sheep. Scripture is crystal clear on that. You’re not saved based off what you do. Impossible.

I disagree with your conclusion. Great call on John 5. You're leaving out all the verses from psalms and Paul romans 3:10 quoting psalms "there are none righteous not one:" These verses seem to be saying. Since we are guilty on the trial of judgment day. We need a savior. God makes clear our righteous deeds agree filthy rags in the final analysis. So while your faith is expressed through your works. I'd recommend taking a look at some of the verses regarding salvation for example 1 Cor 15:1-4. The verses you are quoting are exposing you and me. Damming you and me to hell. And we need a savior. Because we are incapable of saving ourselves. Please chat back if you have any critiques or thoughts

Calvinist can't explain that Jesus was a ransom for all, God gave His only begotten Son to the world. That it is the will of God for all to come to the knowledge of truth and choose life, that God does not show favoritism, God takes no pleasure of the death of the wicked, asks them to repent and choose life. You can not reject or accept that's never been provided for you. If the Gospel was never provided for you, if a Saviour was never provided for you. You CAN NOT reject the Gospel or a Saviour.
