Dear Pastor Lawson, Although your teaching session of Romans 1.19 - 23 was preached by you 4 years ago, i have listened to your wonderful teaching session this evening. i reside in Austria, Vienna. Moreover i heard of the Risen Christ and the Good News from 2 american young missionaries who witnessed the Gospel to me and to my young teenage daughter in about 2009. At this time I lived with my three young children in the western part of Austria in the alpine city of Innsbruck. Unfortunately the region where we resided is completly influenced by the Catholic religion, and being raised catholic, I did never heared the true Gospel of Jesus Christ which is Salvation by Grace alone, through faith in Christ alone. When the young american men approached us, i rejected them, and i told them that i believe in God, but cannot believe in Jesus. I mentioned to them that i do not know how to believe in Jesus... Nevertheless these two young men were sowing God's seed into my heart.... and this seed of GOD was watered by others a short time later when we moved to London..where i was saved HAlleluyah PRaise GOD for HIS AMAZING GRACE and for HIS MERCY. Since I was saved in London, i regularily distribute striking salvation tracts in the public, whereas i am not speaking much to people, but hand out salvation tracts to them... i pray that GOD will give me more boldness to witness the Gospel in public speaking to passers by. unfortunately my young daughter was not receiving the Gospel by saving fatih and God did not open her heart for the Gospel then. Also my two older children, my eldest daughter and my son are not yet saved. So my prayer is that all three of my children will be saved one day by GOD'S AMAZING GRACE!!. I wonder how these two young missionaries are and where they are now residing. GOD by HIS Providence sent them to Innsbruck, a provincial area in Europe where they shared the Gospel with us about 12 years ago. I will see them in Heaven one day. As you mentioned, to your audience, at the end of your session, it is really only by GOD'S AMAZING GRACE that His children will be saved... so it is always a grande miracle when a person in a remote area is saved . Additionally false religion hinders the people to know the Gospel and then its also a miracle when they get saved after they heard the GOOD NEWS by GODS AMBASSADORS . Thank you GOD for your AMAZING GRACE TO SAVE A WRETCH LIKE me!!

Babies in womb or newborns or mental deficiency don’t have capacity to see or know General Revelation. What does God do?

good question, Tom. I can't understand general revelation tbh - how can a person know God - that he is one God ( not many) holy and divine, from looking at the sun or stars or mountains etc Many cultures attribute a god to the sun then a god for the moon etc ... you can not look at the natural world and know this. I couldn't. You believe what you were born into, mostly. Rom 1 v 23 is hard as well It's a continuation and summary from the beginning of the chapter... How can anyone know the judgement of god, that they are a sinner and worthy of death by looking at the ocean or animals....and they are judged and condemned to hell to be tormented for not believing - but they had no way of believing because of the place and time they were born into

Sry but I 100% disagree, he’s confusing General Revelation with Natural Revelation, which is more like Paley’s watch analogy or Aristotle’s teleology. Romans 1:19-20 isn’t talking about the Kahlam Cosmological argument, or intelligent design of the human eye or DNA and all its complexity.. none of that is “self evident” this is scholarly; what Paul is referring to is at a more fundamental level, what Van Til/Bahnsen refer to as God is the “ultimate precondition/foundation for intelligibility”, for us to use the laws of logic, mathematics, universals, or believe there’s causality between events there must be an ultimate concrete foundation that grounds our ability to do so. Otherwise we just live in a naturalistic world that provides no justification for platonic realism objects or facts. These facts are either created facts or brute facts,

Okay, but that distinction is not needed. Also, that pastor says that General Revelation shows the existence of God, but not in a "saving way". I would point out that General Revelation, as presented in Romans 1:20 is not a valid conclusion one can make as a scientific hypothesis. The hypothesis is that God created everything. The argument is made that it is "self evident" by looking at nature. One cannot just look around in nature, see "God's handiwork", and simply assume it was created by God. That is assuming the conclusion. There are a few other possibilities, so you cannot just assume the possibility that you want to believe. You are assuming what you are trying to prove (that God created everything). So, it is not a valid approach to reach a conclusion. In summary, General Revelation is not a valid approach in science to prove the truth of an assertion (such as that God created everything in nature).

@@vshah1010 You need to actually READ what I actually said, because "intelligent design" is the exact argument I was arguing against. This vid was trying to equate Romans 1:19-20 with "Natural Revelation", which is an argument from design based on the "complexity" of the world around us, this isn't what Paul was referring to with General Revelation, something much more fundamental which I already laid out, the creator-creature distinction and that God is necessary as the precondition for rational thinking/intelligibility. Since God is the "ultimate" basis/foundation for ALL facts and possibility, in a non-God world we'd have no basis for the laws of logic, math, universals.. it'd just be a see of particulars with nothing grounding our ability to relate facts. Autonomous reasoning is the ultimate hubris of man, since the Fall, we think we can reason independently without recognizing God IS THE source of our very knowledge. You're trying to argue from complexity and probability.. but you wouldn't even be able to reason at ALL without the existence of the Triune God, which is the stupidity of the Atheist position.

@@Jaryism Romans 1:20 is supposed to prove that God exists by General Revelation. You can look around and see "God's handiwork" (or design). You can go further than that and say that God is a precondition for rational thinking and a basis for logic, math, etc., but you would have to prove that God exists first before that possibility can be looked at. Let's assume that God created the universe and the laws of math and science and logic. Then, God created the scientific method. And, everything in science follows these rules. If you are asked to look at nature and see God, and see some possible relationship, then you are making a scientific claim. It has to follow the rules of science. It is "without excuse" according to Romans, so it has to follow the same rules that God supposedly set up. You would have to apply those same rules in regards to God's own existence. In science and logic, you can't just "look around" and know something was designed and that it was designed by a God because that would be assuming the conclusion. You can't assume the conclusion. That eliminates other possible explanations. You can only prove something in science with observations and data. Logic by itself can't prove an assertion without observations and data. And, there is no observation or data about God yet, so the existence of God cannot be proven yet. So, the idea of General Revelation, which is presented in Romans 1:20, does not prove the truth or falsity of anything in nature. So, General Revelation and Romans 1:20 cannot prove the existence of God.

One of the greatest works of Satan was Darwin’s evolution myth. To have billions of people thinking that nothing, nobody, and chance was capable of creating everything was Satan’s master deception. Christ is alright and the Creator of everything, acknowledge so or perish “deceived and as a fool.” (Corinthians 2:14)

Evolution is not about creation. Evolution is about what happens to life _after_ it was created. The idea that "nothing" supposedly "created" the universe, also called the "Big Bang theory" actually came from a Christian scientist, not an atheist one.

Er, doesn't 1 Corinthians 2:14 and James 3:15 partly INVALIDATE this claim? How much of nature CAN or CANNOT Satan warp, corrupt or influence, then? And why is to be born a 'natural man' to be termed BAD, if nature clearly shows such qualities? And many past societies did NOT look at nature and always see ONE clear creator, plus a rogue possible subcreator who impairs some things. They often saw multiple, or even COMPETING, gods...

@Psalm 22 John 3:16 Inherited... how? Please specify. And by default, humans, post Genesis 3, or at least long post Cain, are born unaware of which and how many gods exist, let alone a specific one. And Darwin is not 'worshipped' meantime. He also had significant doubts and problems along the way - and if he was not meant to succeed, would he have minded if the Beagle sank along the way? If it was to the benefit of his soul? And I do not believe in 2 Samuel 24, so far, sorry - I find it a bit ridiculous. As might Jehovah choosing to name himself 'Jealous' one time? Jealous of who, and who could even be a threat? Also, why did Romans 1:18, fail with so many angels, in heaven?
