The 911 call dispatcher was incredible. So kind so patient.

It made me cry. The fear and panic and confusion of the students was so palpable 😢
When the 2nd witness said she held his hand, that really got to me.
Dang I hardly ever cry but the 911 call had me tear up. And stone-cold Nancy just sits there like a fool.
This is the worst positioned courtroom I’ve ever seen. Why is the defendant so close to the witnesses! Awkward and bad form to put people thru 🤦🏻♀️

He'd been shot in the back and paralyzed. Then shot in the heart. There was no way he was able to be saved, but even if he had, being left without the ability to tend his garden and his chickens would have destroyed him.
This first witness, the student, she's so caring and awesome. She kept her wits about her in the moment to do her best for the hurt person but you can tell now how much it affected her.

Ikr…awkward
Her lack of emotion, alone, is going to be what convicts her. You know the jury is watching her every movement. And, when you are staring your MIL down, staring at various witness with a stink eye, including S-son, and not shedding one tear when the witnesses were sobbing out their stories of how they found him. The affect this had on everybody around the murder. She looks like she's gathering writing material for a book.

Nancy said of Clarinda Perez: "His death didn't stop her life. _Her life went on._ She came back to the program, she graduated. She wasn't crying for Dan, she was crying for herself from seeing a dead guy, not cuz Dan Brophy, a man she BARELY KNEW, died." Yeah Nancy, not like they paid thousands of dollars for this course and wouldn't get a refund for dropping out. Clearly, graduating from the culinary school meant she couldn't POSSIBLY be traumatized. 🙄

The defense attorney seems to ask a great deal of questions that seem totally irrelevant to anything.... very much like her client.
To think of how she cast judgment on the students because what was it, they’re not really grieving for Dan, they’re just sad for themselves. If that’s true, then what does that say about you Nancy? You were his wife and you’re barely crying at all, you’re not sad for the loss you suffered? She is so blindly narcissistic. Astonishing.

I think she feels guilt or shame for her emergency response. Some people get focused in extremely stressful situations, like the first witness. The second witness went into full panic mode.
