Rolling Balls Switch - RBS5 - EP 8

Watch me engineer a filp flop switch for my latest rolling ball sculpture. I use copper wire, some copper tubes, a little bit of threaded rod and a lot of careful soldering.
Hope you enjoy the video.
Happy Christmas to everyone who has discovered me beavering away in my little corner of the internet. Mwah ! xx

Love following your progression. I have made 4 rolling ball sculptures. You can see one of them on KZread under “danas rolling ball sculpture”. Personally I used glass marbles instead of the metal heavier balls. Metal balls made to much noise, as we’ll create down the road quicker wear on joints being heavier.

Good evening, could you tell me what type of soldering iron you use to solder tin to galvanized wire. Your work and teaching are excellent, CONGRATULATIONS. Grateful.

Joyeux Noël! Interesting that you seem to be using a blowtorch to solder right now instead of the resistance soldering earlier in your series.

Hello. I use the blow torch for tubes, rods, plate and bigger wire when I feel that the resistance iron is too weak. I also like using it as it challenges me a bit.
