Ойын-сауық

In Part 3 of 4 Timothy Kornegay former member of the Rollin 30 Harlem Crips of Los Angeles talks about the early association with the Rollin' 40s, the lack of vision street gang members had in forming alliances. The ending discussion is probably the most important message youngsters in prison or going to prison could learn. I watched these prison politicians so closely, I learned how to organize, how to manipulate systems and policies. I stayed in the law library, I hustled writing 602's, and I listened to the older homies. My favorite saying is that the prison yard is a microcosm of society, and now as the brotha big H said, I'm doing the exact samething in society. I have a business in a competitive industry where I get funded through the state to provide certain services to society. It was hard, but I applied prison principles, and now I'm having it my way, and just bought a house last year. I dont say this to brag, only to say its possible. I was a young ignorant Loc putting it down. From the halls to the pen. If I can do it so can you!

An excellent communicator this is what I enjoy about KMV, when brothers can give other brothers helpful information that benifits them, their families and the community at large. We have to rise above the negativity and be able to empower each other to fight our real enemy, and not each other.

This guy was most boring out of all the interviews. Why? Because he doesn't really talk on the history. Even when kev asked him about the founder he dodges that question by saying it's touchy issue. Whenever a question about the hood comes up if he doesn't dodge the question he gives 1 sentence about it. He mostly talks about how he changed his life around and about prison. I want to know history. I think the real reason why he doesn't really speak on it cuz he was locked up most of his life so he couldn't really give answers to what went down. Good interview nonetheless but yall bugging about this best interview. This most boring. Everything I knew about Harlem is the same thing I know after watching the interview. Nothing gain from this interview but glad this man survived prison, became free, and is very intelligent brotha.

818- 4life I'm born and raised in world famous Raymond's on 102 in the 80s when it was poppin. I watched this to learn about Harlem crip like everybody else but all we learned is how he did time and made it out. None of us learn any history about Harlem Crip. So this interview is more about surviving prison instead of Harlem Crip history. Kev Mac you should get another O. G. from Harlem to interview so we can actually learn about the history. This guy didn't even know about HHH or speak on the founder, when you ask him about who their hood beef with he just said the name and left it at that, we want to know why. This guy is holding too much back I guess he don't want to speak on it in order to not hurt anyone's feelings. Every answer this man gives is very brief he only goes into full details when he is talking about how he survived prison. Even when he speaks on Cutes telling him that he fuckin up in prison, he just left it at that, it sounds like he got DP'd by Cutes he should have explained why, then he says white boy shanked him but didn't get in to details why? Did he steal from him or what he should have gotten into detail about it. He held back alot from the interview and those people make the worse interviewer.

Nothing but respect for Kev and his get down with these videos. I'm all the way in Michigan and have seen in my 45 years of life how my community and those in my state have adopted, for lack of a better word without being disrespectful, this LA lifestyle. Kev Mac and these OG's and newer brothers are those who should be supported by our so-callex black power brokers... I've often said that much of our current dysfunction as a people comes from the lack of mature influence due to our strong brothers being killed or locked for so long that they most often times become irrelevant to society when they get out. These videos show and display the humanity, intelligence, honor, and bravery that runs in our blood as a people. I've never come close to posting a response because mostly I felt a personal sense that it would be disrespectful to speak on things and issues that were so far away and had no impact on my life.....but I had to realize that these did and do impact us all. My neighborhood turned Blood in basically 1994-1995 because the rival neighborhood became Crips....personally I thought a bunch of it came from the HBO special Banging in Little Rock. Whatever the case I never truly respected it because that was not our thing. THAT IS AN LA THING!....and I just found it mad disrespectful to claiming someone else's issues when you don't even understand what, why, or how they get down how they get down. I've watched all of Kev's videos that I can and just respect how the brothers being interviewed never push the ignorant line of gang banging....they mostly pay respect to brothers that are no longer with us, verbalize the destruction caused, speak on young men of high honor, give history of their set and/or neighborhood, advice to young homies to be better and do better.....never is the bullshit glamorized! That is the main point for me. These videos feel like history lessons that I clearly can identify with because even if didn't come up in a gang banging environment I came up in a rough ass hood environment and can see some of my big homies and peers the same way I see brothers in LA and across this country. I do find it sad that while it seems that LA has calmed down so much other parts of America have taken the negative from your lifestyle and helped to commercialize it there by creating more death, confusion, chaos, and fucking stupidity because you want to be something that was never you. Celebrities add to it by claiming red or blue ......grown ass men want to be apart of something that those in tell you is bullshit..Fucking lame to me, but to each his own. To rap up I just want to wish peace and blessings to all the men that Kev Mac has interviewed and to All active and inactive gangbangers....just imagine how much we could regulate if all the deceased were alive and productive for our people. Guess that will always just be a fantasy. Peace to Man, Woman and Child.....ours!

It's a shame that he lost so much of his life with this cripping!! He's honestly one of, if not the most, intelligent people you've interviewed. Especially seeing how he can connect dots, articulate them, and so research with much of his education being in prison.
