You notice People of Color carried themselves differently back then. because they were first generation home owners and The family structure for the most part was still in tact. They had a different sense of pride. They carried themselves differently. I hope people take heed to that.

What Kevmac and his crew is doing is documenting our street history, from the proper perspective. Which is our perspective! Far too long we have allowed others to tell our story and profit. Many times these other folks will slant or edit words or video to fit their narrative. In general we have a bad habit of not documenting things, we tend tell stories but not always keeping record. This is keeping record. KMV is one brick in our building of documentation.

Honestly I think things would turned about the same. If Raymond Washington had stayed an Avenue he probably would have pushed them in the same direction as Crips - expansion into other neighborhoods, annexing other gangs etc. Starting a supergang was obviously his big goal in life. Also, somebody was going to fill that vacuum of open territory in 69/70. Maybe the Brims would have been the big gang everybody else was against. maybe BPS.

For everyone that listened to the rugged one Mr Munson speak on breaking 2x4 with a punch is a perfect example of what Sanyika Shakur was talking about the Titans of old era L.A. lifting weights to knock somebody out with one punch. I got my biscuits on and they clean. I don’t have time to be tussling with you. When I hit you I’m going to knock you out. Even though I prefer throwing it from the shoulders I can understand why guns came into play. It was because of the OG giants roaming around back then.

Listening to all this history and watching it fit together like puzzle pieces is crazy. You hear history from Munson point of view being older than Tookie and Raymond and then looking up to Munson then you hear other people who was younger and looked up to Raymond and Tookie and just to hear the different stories and perspectives during those times is crazy. Getting slapped is what started a whole 4-5 generations of bangin Crips and a whole culture. Only thing we missing is Raymond and Tookie perspective. Would love to hear that. Looking forward to the next one tho good work KMV y’all truly making history.

And crazy thing is people was trying to make Jimmy Lavender seem like he was crazy and almost make it seem like it was taboo to think that Craig slapped Raymond. History is history and if you're into history (in general) like I am, you know it gets annoying when you're trying to understand the picture in its totality of what happened and there's some ppl with biases, so they leave certain information out. I do believe a lot of people knew about the slap but they'd never speak on it and a lot of ppl didn't think it happened but I applaud Jimmy for putting the truth out there and sticking by his word, regardless of all the ppl that felt some type of way about it

Think Craig was referring to Zero Period. Some schools still let you go in before school starts to make up or gain extra credit. Lots of teachers do not teach that early and not many students willing to do such. My senior year I was able to get into a zero period for an AP test, because, our AP teacher fell ill and we had a substitute most second semester and we were not properly prepared. Another teacher volunteered, but, we did not get credit, as, it started after the semester started. I graduated High School 2004
