Rollerblade RB80 Review

Спорт

The Rollerblade RB80 Danny Aldridge pro model are probably the most comfortable inline skates I've ever skated. The 4x80mm setup with Rollerblade Hydrogen wheels is definitely one of the best choices for urban skating. I recommend these skates for everyone - beginner or professional, you're not going to be disappointed.

    After watching this i got mine before 3 month. Everything he says is very true i cruise and do stunts and tricks for about 8 hours without feeling pain in my feet. Smooth and perfect skate so far. I highly recommend this skate for both cruising and freestyle. Well done RB and Danny Aldridge

    Because the RB usually comes with crappy wheels, bearings, buckles, non removable cuffs, and the boot isn't as rigid.. the liners are better on twister. The twisters are definitely worth the extra $50. Plus if you go to sell your skates twisters fetch a lot more

    MAN, love your two videos about this skate bro, funny and informative at the same time! 🙏🏼 I am using the twisters and... they give me SO much pain!! I have a big pressure point on the inside of both of my feet right above the middle of the foot and it is just SO annoying... I’ve had so many people recommend this skate for me because it is for wider feet... so you think I will be happy with them? I am thinking so hard to give them a try...

    Thanks for the video I got my answer of the comment I made the other video, but I still wonder what you think of the absence of these skates on the website of Rollerblade, and Danny using twister pro's on his instagram recently. Edit: What's the insole you applied exactly? How should I apply it, in or out of the insole? Should I move the original absorber? Would it make the blades run smaller? Thank you.

    Great review, and very inspiring! Thank You! I am looking to buy my first pair : ) I am looking at the new Rollerblade Cruiser, which look great, and are around my budget. I am wondering on whether to jump up to the 80, if there is a big difference between the two ? and just out of interest, do you think as a learner, either of these is better for me, then a big jump up to the Rollerblade Maxxum Edge 90 Mens Skates - Orange/Sapphire. Big Thanks!!!!!! Great Vibes* : )

    I think thete are same as RB80 Twisters which are the only pair i have for 18 years. Good all rounder urban fitness skate. I especially appreciated them more when i broke cuff and bought RB100 3wd soft boot. Bad decision!!! RB100 are horrible, limited angle posture support, stull cut into my sides and felt every vibration!!! So i am going to spend may like £60+P&P for replacement cuff and stiff with my RB80. absolutely recommend these for beginners to advanced urban street recreational skaters.

    I don't have any issues with any hardware, which is absolutely rare for me. On any USD skate I've had huge hardware trouble (Buckles bending and rattling, cuff screws and buckle screws getting loose etc.) and I used to superglue the screws in so they never came out again. Not even if I wanted to ^^

    @@albertcampos959 The problem is that the cuff moves quite a bit when skating (which is good) and over time, it wears out the locktite too. So I then just straight up used superglue and they never came out again. Locktite is definitely good enough on most occasions though.

    Hey, nice review. Btw, are there any space between your liner and your boot shell? Mine seems to have a space at the front between the liner and the boot. I found out the shell size is 10us, but my liner is 9us. Does it always comes like that with all the skates? Or rollerblade somehow wrongly insert the liner at the wrong shell size. Thanks bro

  • @rollife

    @rollife

    4 жыл бұрын

    In our industry, it's standard procedure to use the same shell for two sizes and just putting a smaller liner in for the lower size. I'm an EU42 and usually, the molds are EU 39/40, 41/42, 43/44, 45/46 - so I'm always on the high end of the molds, which means I've got a 42 liner in a 41-42 shell and no extra space. If you're on the lower end, that's just bad luck because most skates are gonna feel a little bit big. Try putting thick socks on or maybe, if it's really bad, a little extra insole. I hope this helps!

I wear 10.5 in sneakers and when I measure my feet it is 27.8cm depending on the size chart RB recommends size 11 for feet between 27.6-28.5cm but as I understand from your review the fit pretty comfortable which one do you recommend for me? Go for the size 10 or 11 as it is recommended? Thanks for your help.

    Just replying here as I have a similar query of whether you need to buy a size up for Rollerblade. One of my feet is 10.5 and the other is 11! Also not that I know too much about skate sizing but it sounds as though you should get size 11.

    Sorry for the late reply, I didn't get the notification. If you're not sure, just take the bigger size or go to a shop where you can try them on. They're wide but the length is normal... you might get away with 27.8cm but if you want to make sure that you don't have to send them back, go with the bigger one...

    Hi! I just bought this model 15 days ago, they are my first skates and I am learning with them, but I can no longer bear the pain on the inside of both ankles, and my feet are thin. Could you give me some advice? It is normal? I'm already thinking of selling them :(

  • @rollife

    @rollife

    4 жыл бұрын

    If you've got pain in the ankle area, you might just need to break the thick padding in a little bit more. Just skate them for at least 15h before you sell them. Some skates just take time to break in. Also try experimenting with different socks. I never had skates that were comfortable in the first 15-20h of skating them. I usually have to take new skates off every 20-30min to let my feet breathe. I think that's quite normal.
