Taken in April 1960 on the Pier Skating Rink in Hunstanton, Norfolk, this short 8mm cine film is full of nostalgia. Lovely memories from over 60 years ago.

Oh, wish I’d been around then to see the pier !!
shame all gone now the pier the train station the open air swimming pool the boating lake all gone sunny hunny is a shadow of its former self

It is a shame but nothing stays the same. I have more footage from Hunstanton in 1960 including the boating lake which I will post once I have digitised and edited it
most of the males wore jackets..not American track suits.

Yes it is a very English scene, I can't imagine anyone wearing a jacket now to go skating
