KZread Channel of Dave Eldergill the author of "The Nightingale Quarter" and "A Long Walk Home"
Cine Film Memories is a playlist of archives of amateur home movies shot on cine film.
If you would like a digital copy of any of the films on my KZread channel, edited without titles and music please contact me.
I have the files as recorded from the scanner and can re-edit them to create the stabilised and colour corrected MP4 file, but will not add my watermarks or titles. As with any found film the actual copyright is owned by whoever shot the film, even if that person is unknown. I would however make a small charge of £25 for the service of providing the film. Let me know if you are interested.

Going for a walk is a playlist of photographic montages of various walks including The South West Coast Path, Offa's Dyke, and The Wales Coast Path
Dave Eldergill Music is recordings of self-penned songs.

lovely video, thanks for the share
Thanks, glad you enjoyed watching it. There are two further videos which I have edited from this original cine film, which I will be posting soon
I can't find those cottages on street view I wonder where they are
There were a few clues in the film such as signposts etc, but it may be that 60 years later , they are no longer there
I love seeing these old home movies I just wonder what happened to the people I hope they did ok.
Going by the comments here: 1. Smoking indoors was classy; 2. No mobile phones or internet meant people were in constant ecstasy; 3. Bring back National Service; 4. Love Thy Neighnour.
Nostalgia is like a pair of rose tinted glasses

Thanks so much for sharing this. Yatton's now my local station. Agree with Alan Warren about the fresh ballast!
Hired a Crane from Thomas Wards to Demolish Woods Glass Works in Barnsley way back in 1982- Just like that one- could have been the same Crane !
It doesn't seem two minutes since the world looked like that! Thanks for a few minutes of wallowing in nostalgia
Glad you liked it, thanks for watching
URY 970, registered between November 1958 and February 1959. Great film.
I don't have an exact date for this film, but my guess is early 1960s

Hi, the music is from a selection of copyright free music provided by KZread. This music is called "Leaning On the Everlasting Arms" by Zachariah Hickman
Thank you.
This is superb! I’m 64 now so would have been 9yrs old in 69, visited Cornwall many many times and I can relate to the footage. Thank you 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
Loved the amazing old buses in Malta. A shame that they had to be retired in the end.
REMEMBER THE BOATING LAKE,GOOD TO SEE HOW NEAT AND TIDY IT WAS ,WENT TO HUNSTATON MANY TIMES IN THE 50s AS WE ONLY LIVED 15 MILES AWAY AND COULD GET THERE ON THE TRAIN!!LIKE THE FILM VERY MUCH!!
Glad you enjoyed the nostalgia
Lovely
Thank You
Thankyou for the views, Dave... interesting times - slower-paced and restful.
Glad you enjoyed it
Algajola is still wonderful. Time stood still. Thank you for sharing.
Notice how they were all squinting when the camera panned to them? My parents had an 8mm camera when I was a kid in the 1960s and it basically had a floodlight attached to the top for when you used it indoors. You can see the reflection of it in the television.
I also have some films where indoor lighting was all they had and unfortunately the quality without the extra lighting , is very poor.
Today 7 May 2024 l walked from the Peacock past the Lincoln (Eastgate) through Exchequergate into Castle square.. amazing.
I wonder how different it looked from the 1960s?
Nice to see this after watching WSM in a Turd Town video. Born there and left in 1972 aged 20. Only good memories of growing up there
Mrs Emily Connibere took me on the train from Yatton to Clevedon in 1942.I was an evacuee,Mrs Connibere looked after me in the village of Shipham Somerset……George Firk …92years old!!!
Have you got any films from Oxford?
Hi, not amongst the films I have already digitised, but I have more to scan so quite possibly in the future
@@DaveEldergillCineFilm awesome!, that would be great!
I'll have a bottle of Stim please.
You have to have been in Aden in the 1960s to know what a bottle of "Stim" was!
@@DaveEldergillCineFilm I sure was Dave. I loved the place. I have some very fond memoires of my time there.
Love watching these videos to see how life was in the old days.
Glad you are enjoying the nostalgia
I always wonder what happened to these people
Me too, I source the films from eBay or car boot sales so have no idea who the people were.
l was 18 yrs old in '72 . Brighton was the place to be . The pubs , the live gigs and concerts , the events , the shops and the bohemian and laid back vibe of those long ago days . The fashions as well . Long hair , flares , t.shirts and jeans . Great days . Sadly Brighton has changed for the worst these days and the vibrant and exciting town ( as it was then ) has been replaced by a dirty rundown and neglected city which l avoid going to as mush as possible . Glad l saw it at it's best in the 60's and 70's .
Glad you enjoyed the nostalgia
Lived here since 75 a lot of memories, great video 🫡🙌
Glad you enjoyed it!
