Over the last 3 years I have done several watch reviews and videos and people always complain that I am rough with the watch, that I bang them around and mishandle them. These must be people who have never owned or worn one of these watches. The Rolex sport models are virtually indestructable. If you have a polished dress watch, you are more careful with it only because you don't want to scratch the polish on it. However, the all stainless models that do not have the polished center links, can be treated as badly as you want. You can wack them on door knobs, lay on the ground and scratch them on the concrete, you can take it off and toss it on the table. You can put it in your pocket with your keys. YOU ARE NOT GOING TO BREAK IT. If you were to slam it on the concrete, you could break the crystal or crack a ruby inside, which has happened to one of my Subs and I had to replace the pallet fork. I wore the same Rolex 2-tone Submariner for 15 years straight, it was a 1990 model I bought in 2004. I wore this watch daily as a car mechanic and fabricator. Every once in a while I would re-polish it myself on a buffing wheel, but then I started doing a satin brush finish on it using a purple Scotch-Brite. Yes, that's right, I did in the sink. I get constant compliments on the finish. When it gets scratched up, about every 6 months, I re-polish it. I don't give a shit about it's value and sellability and originality, I am not selling it and if I do, I don't care, so please save me the speech, I don't care.

So glad to finally see a KZread video where someone acknowledges that the SD43 is easy to read! I stopped wearing a chronograph for the same reason! Nice pickup! It's also worth mentioning, the latest submariners with the maxi case have the same outer lug width as the SD43. It makes the band look too narrow.

Awesome watches but my ocd can't handle them banging together. Its like Survivorman trying to create a spark for fire.

Actually I find the SD50 wears fine on a 6.5 inch wrist (give and take depending on the season). I own a 42mm Breitling Superocean which I find wears bigger due to the lug to lug lenght.

You got the mark 2 dial. Great watch! 43 is the perfect size.

I have 7.5 wrist and my SD43 is perfect. I also had no date and gmt blrn both on 40mm and I always thought they were small...even with maxi-case. Nice vid thnx

The SD43 is the most perfect SS diver Rolex makes. Proportions, size, dial legibility and wrist presence…just perfect. Daytona snd almost all chronographs are too busy, not a fan at all. Nice video man.

Thanks for the comparison! I can't agree more. Do i like the Daytona, hell yes, but i would not buy one. I just can't tell the time, the dial is too busy and i have never been a chrono fan.

That one is a late 80's Rolex Submariner 16613, I would need about $6000 for it.

Love it Bob! A big f*** off Rolex for sure! The Daytona is a bit too small for me (unlike the sea dweller) , I went with the 42mm Tudor Fastrider Ceramic bezel green dial for my chrono.

If you think that's big get a Casio G-Shock Frogman It's 58.3mm by 52.8mm. It's so big that you have to wear it kind of lose so it doesn't feel like a big peace of metal on your wrist.

I see nothing special about this expensive watch or many other Rolex watches. They have the name, are well made but some do not keep time as accurately as some other less expensive watches like Omega, Breitling ( many pilots use Breitling). 14 million for Paul Newman's Daytona! Just don't think they are worth the money..but a good investment!!

Lol it’s a Rolex not a Patek, it’s meant to be roughened up to last forever as a tool watch! I actually like the character of a beat up aged Rolex with plenty of stories from the wearer
