Very nice review. I have two 6694 models -- I love the size and simplisicty - I would like to get the non date model - these Precision Rolex are as you said, just elegant simplicity well made.

Sir that is a lovely piece. Nice reviews. I like the part that you show it with different straps! Really adds value to your videos that other KZreadrs dont. So, thanks

@@theknightswatch Yes I really do. Just stumbled across your channel, but the fact that you got a smaller wrist and show different strap options made me subscribe. I got a small wrist as well, so that combined with the different straps makes it so much more realistic and better for reference. So, thanks you got my sub

The dial is likely orignal, the letter T on both sides of the SWISS at 6 o'clock means it has the radioactive tritium dial, and the service dials that came later would not have the lettering.

I got the same one w a grey dial 1974 date and Rolex official leather strap for $1900, w a 31mm case. I really like this watch, it’s amazing. My strap is 17mm, I went w a Rolex midsize

I'm saving up $5,800 for a Grand Seiko Snowflake but I think this Rolex vintage can hold me over until then. Thanks for sharing your taste in watches. Great review , great B-roll.

irreview the snowflake is a great watch. But it would be nice to own something in the meantime. You won’t really lose any money you put into one of these watches so find one and go for it! Thanks for watching :)

Thank you this review my friend. I’ve been contemplating buying my first Rolex and this falls directly under my category: simplicity. I didn’t want to spend and arm and leg for one, so this particular model would be a great investment as a vintage start.

Great video i just got one. 1982. I am curious about to how to wear it properly bc of the manual winding

Congrats, Just wind it up till you feel resistance and wear it for a a day or so before rewinding it if wearing consistently. As long as it’s serviced or seems to be in good condition, can wear it pretty much daily.

liked and subscribed. i bought a new one of these in ships store USS AMERICA in 1974 for about 70 dollars. still have it but cannot set the time (stem comes all the way out). it can be wound at the exact time it stopped and it will run pretty well.

Very interesting. If only I was able to get them back in that time. You should look into getting it serviced as hopefully it wouldn’t be too big of an issue to fix.

  • @theknightswatch

It’s going to be pretty much the same quality since the Tudor prince used Rolex cases. Just go for whichever has a dial you prefer. Tudor princes with linen dials are awesome.

I recently came into possession of my father's 6426 champagne dial steel bracelet Oyster precision Rolex 1964 (vintage). What is its nominal or current value? The hands, dial, and case have some minor corrosion but it still winds and works.
