Own both and can tell you the red gets annoying after a while. Similar to having a red car, it gets annoying if you use it often. The batgirl never annoys me, as it pops and is also more muted. We are wired to react to red more than other colours, it is a colour which triggers warning (blood, dangerous food) etc. My wife says the pepsi is like getting a red manicure, fun for a day, then you’re tired of it 😂

That does make sense. I opted for the Batman on oyster. A friend of mine owns the Pepsi on Jubilee. I think the Batman looks more masculine and better under bright light. The Pepsi looks more feminine because of the pink and purple colors, but it looks good/pops in darker light whereas the batman looks nearly black (hence the name batman). Both great timepieces!

Totally agree with you. The red gets annoying.. plus, it’s not even red.. its like scarlet, purple-ish color.

For me it's a color thing, which do you prefer. I like the black and blue better.

I have owned both BLNR/Jubilee and BLRO /Jubilee. The BLNR is my preferred since its color blue is stronger and brighter. It looks great inside and in sunlight. There is never a bad look or lighting that doesn’t make the hue of blue look spectacular. I can’t say that with my BLRO. My BLRO was way too pink and purple and a;ways clashed with anything I wore in proper red or blue. I always got a pink and red clash wearing the BLRO. I scoped the BLRO colors and it came up periwinkle and raspberry instead of anything in the proper blue or red family. The BLNR on Jubilee is Rolex GMT perfection. The BLRO/Pepsi gets its notoriety from its past, and not so much by its current iteration which is not there yet on its colors. I hope this helps others in the choice.

Incredible commentary, couldn’t agree more. The execution of the blue is crisp and defined on the BLNR which makes it a better time telling instrument. The jubilee gives it just the class it needs to be a world class cosmopolitans watch. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Had the same impression back when I did my purchase. BLNR was the choice just because of the better look for me. Knew that BLRO was more hyped, but who cares. Do not sell or specilate. This will be up on my kids when I am gone 🤷‍♂️

Great content as always bro! Chasing after a 12 series pepsi as well.. I had an older pepsi Fat lady and I miss it a lot.. I think it will pair well with my 11 series Batman.. But the way to go would be a 12 series Batgirl + 12 Pepsi oys.. That way you can just swap out thr bracelet with a simple click.. I truly also feel like the glidelock SHOULD be on the GMT as its the watch that would be going from somewhere cold to somewhere hot..

Originally purchased the BLNR on jubilee.. A couple years later I was offered the BLRO on an oyster so I had both looks.. Ended up buying an oyster bracelet and wear both watches on the oyster..

I’ve always had a soft spot for the BLRO because my dad wore a 16750 (that I now own). But I like that the colors of the BLNR are more intuitive: black for when the sky is black, and blue for when the sky is blue.

Definitely! You can’t deny the heritage and sentiment that the Pepsi evokes, especially in your case with your dad :) but I do believe the Batman is a cleaner format and brings something modern and new to the Rolex catalogue. Plus it’s a color they have done before as in the case of the blueberry gmt and Smurf/Cookie Monster

The BLRO Pepsi is iconic, the CHNR Rootbeer is elegant, the VTNR Sprite is cool and quirky, the GRNR Guinness screams luxury, and the LN Green Arrow looks clean, BUT for me there is only one GMT which makes me go gaga, and that is the BLNR Batman. Firstly the color combo makes sense, black for night time and blue for day time. Secondly, I am a huge Inter Milan fan since I was a kid, so the black and blue combo just sings to me.

If you want to be accurate, Batman was the original maxi case on oyster. This (Batgirl) is definitely the batgirl, lugs are thinner, new movement, and jubilee bracelet.

I go back and forth on the jubilee vs oyster with PCL all the time. I love the wear of the jubilee, more comfortable than the oyster, but the Oyster Batman is the my favorite combo. The only downside is the more noticeable scratched that come with PCL's.

Benefits and drawbacks to both! I do find the oyster to be a touch more masculine with those broader links so that’s the one I rock for day to day wear 👍

I always try to avoid the hype and go with what I really like and for my batgirl all the way

Is the Pepsi your new addition if so congrats! I personally struggle with the GMT lineup. They photograph and film so well but when you're at the AD the light play can make the watch go from "I gotta have it" to "I'm not so sure." I agree that there is nothing in the watch world that can compare to Rolex's GMT. The size fits 90% of people's wrists.

I feel the opposite, on camera they look great and desirable but when you go into the AD, the representative places an exhibition piece on your wrist and the lighting from the store perfectly hits. You leave wanting to cry bc you have to wait longer for your precious GMT.

I own the Batman/Batgirl Jubilee Bracelet and the two tone Blue Sub and the Batman still my favorite cuz of the bracelet. Love the Grand Seikos ❤

Everything stated in this is correct. But I would never wear them in LA proper, due to the rampant crime.

Pepsi looks great with Jubliee and Oyster configurations, but I prefer the BLNR on an Oyster. Looks great on your wrist though.

Nice, yes i have the bargirl I got retail in 2021. I would not mind the Pepsi, or the root beer as well. 😂But the chance of getting a Pepsi now is not going to happen, with the production problems with the bezel and the rumours of the Pepsi being discontinue. The only way is to get that grey market if you got the extra huge wade of money.

I am totaly 50: 50 for both of them, i am on the waitlist for Pepsi just beacuse for me the Pepsi is the most iconic watch from Rolex, but I don t think I will ever gei it. I do have the CHNR which is an absolute beauty.

I live in LA but have worn mine everyday and in many different countries as well. Enjoy your watch, stop living in fear but be mindful of surroundings and stay alert.

Frankly, I can’t stand the nicknames or that f-ing jubilee bracelet on a BLNR. It’s fine on the BLRO but just looks so feminine on the black & blue it’s just obnoxious.
