Description: This talk would be divided into two parts: First part will focus on the managerial issues facing the global supply chains in general and the healthcare supply chains in specific to discuss how the current trend of improving resiliency of supply chains is somewhat contradictory to efficiency and the temporal shifts in supply chains.The second part of this talk would focus on how logistics services have taken a tremendous role in facilitating dynamic operationalization of strategies to improve the effectiveness of the emergency supply chains. Through a series of case studies, we willlook at the forward and reverse logistics techniques in keeping the health supply chaincoping with the unprecedent challenges.The key takeaways would include how new innovation and supply chain theories areshaping up to explain the resiliency and also what some of the interesting researchquestions to analyze in the future.
