Kareem, thanks for giving such great reviews. Been out of DJing for about 5 years . Want to upgrade my Itch system. Mostly planning to be in my home studio. Really like the Roland 505 leaning towards it. This is kind of a newbie question. On the pioneer 800 it has a really great color effects area for voice. Does the 505 have these same effects for voice? Have not seen any video on it. One big plus for the 505 is it’s loaded with software and the TRS system. Thanks for your great work!

Thanks for the comments! The DJ-808 has the ability to effect voice as it has a VT (voice transformer) built in from Roland. Its a bit more money wise but it has lots more features and inputs and outputs as well...

Nice demonstration. I have the Numark platinum FX pro and love it. But Numark discontinued the upper next-level controllers so I'm looking for an upgraded backup. I like the beat machine option. This may be my next option. Thanks!!!

@@atypical_blk_guy I replaced my Mixtrack Platnium FX with another one...the silver addition. I was going to get the Pioneer REV7 next month (you know just to get into the Pioneer ecosystem) but Numark made an announcement for the release of the Numark NS4FX. It has XLR outputs to speaker and It beats the REV7 by having 4 decks, This checks all the boxes for me.

@@marioconey5056 gotcha, I think you meant the rev1. The rev7 is the one with the spinning platters. That beast is $1800.

You always do great reviews. I had the dj808... Its the best controller in my opinion. Sound quality is the best period. Its Roland. Now does the dj505 sound just as good? Can anyone tell me please? Thanks.

Thanks! I don't think the DJ808 and DJ505 have the same soundcard, but the 505 still sounds GREAT. Roland wasn't playing around when it came to sound quality with these...

This will be replacing my numark nv2 I like the light weight stuff very mobile and just what I need plus I want to get in to beat making

If you have a Roland DJ-505, then you will be able to use Serato DJ software no matter what. Perhaps he means some add-ons for Serato DJ are not included, but the base software has to be. It unlocks as soon as you plug it in.

Please do a review of the Reloop Beatmix 2 Mk2.I think it`s unbeatable at $230.I`m going to decide between it or a Pioneer ddj rb so it would be really helpful.Thank you very much for the great content.

I'm going for 505 or Mixon 4...Mixon has the best looking controllers out and the jogwheels look and feel the best if seen...am I wrong??? I do like the 505 and price/beat machine..tuff choice I got

I like the 505 the best because it has the drum machine built in... the Pioneer DDJ-RR is pretty good too, but i bet another Pioneer DDJ controller will drop soon... Maybe it will be called the DDJ-600 or DDJ-800... But it will be like the middle controller between the DDJ-400 or DDJ-1000...

Yes they can be changed to anything... You can just load your sampler in Serato with any sounds you want to use in the drum machine...

Thank you. Im a reggaeton dj in puerto rico and i have a pioneer ddj sr for the gigs and a roland 555 sampler that broke for the artist, but i use reggaeton kicks , snares ect. So i think this is the perfect fit for me right now the 2 in 1 ..... thank you my friend

DJBooth! - Roland 505 or Pioneer SR2? which options are more important, having the key sync in SR2 or the drum machine and sequencer in 505?..if i can do the same type of key sync feature on the 505 with a few extra clicks i'd rather go with that

You can do the pitch and time feature very quickly with the 505 as well. And it comes with Pitch N Time...

It's very hard for me to pick because I like the DVS option with the SR2 and I could use my turntables easily for timecode control... but on the other hand, using the Roland TR-S at the top of the unit is SOOOOOO Much fun. It doesn't get old...

The 808 has more inputs and outputs. The 808 also has a whole Voice Transformer section and the 808 also has the volume sliders for each sound in the TR sequencer so you can adjust them easier... There are more than that as well, but that's just the first things you can see easily...

They are very similar, but the 505 has the drum machine. If you don't need the drum machine, then you can just stick with what you have already...

@@bboymac84 hey Mac, i'm getting my unit today..I'll find out if it has triplet tonight. It's in the truck. I can't wait to download the software and give it a go.. I never had a DJ equip and I don't even know how to do it operate one. I produce music. The last week and a 1/2, i learned about DJ equipment. It's exciting. Are you getting one? I was close to getting Pioneer DDJ 400(full Rekkordbox software) but it's not expandable as the DJ505 where we can add a CDJ or DVS(because it's DVS ready). it has MIDI out.
