where did you get the 505 drivers? the are not available on rolands website

pioneer must be sweating right now... Roland is a beast.. it can outmatch any brand in the market when it comes to sound quality "true sound" quality.

Great demo. Now I wish I just bought this instead of the TR-8. Best of both worlds.

I'm debating on picking this up or the Pioneer DDJ 800/1000 just for the reliability and universal platform. The 1000 is out of stock and much more expensive and the 800 is only 2 channels but both have the full sized pitch sliders which I really like. I'm only going to do live streaming with it not actual club performance so this might fit the bill.

Does idnowing do delivery in Brazil?

I originally wanted a DJ-808 but, size is an issue at the moment so, eventually. I just got this 505 & it has only been a month but, I can't wait for this to become 2nd nature! Such a decent portable size. Thanks to the TRS, I am working on setting up my studio. I'm hoping to link up a Maschine MK3 soon with maybe a synth n stuff. I know the MK3 has an interface but, I'm looking at the M-Audio 192/4 with the midi inputs & I was wondering if midi I/O is necessary for an interface? Or, will like a Komplete or, EVO 4 with just a USB to PC just fine? I don't want to get the wrong product. Probably going to go with a keyboard controller but, that's another question I had. Should I also consider midi inputs on the keyboard also? So that everything can communicate with my DJ-505? Also, does the 505 have an internal clock?

Some questions: Can we midi map it for traktor? (100% midi mapable?) How to use pitch n time - with fx knob? (808 has a key) TRS is missing 4 Faders (like on the 808)How to tune in the TRS?

i've got a few Roland groovebox ...and use a Roland Dj505...so getting the best of both worlds with the drum machine ....looks easier to use than the 202 too

when i got my dj sr they had the bpm supreme i am pretty sure it comes with every pro set if it says it on the box or info

Hi , could the sounds of the drum machine be change just like the sampler pads? Im from puerto rico we use reggaeton kicks and snares so i wont use the roland samples .... its posible?

Dj Bebo you can adjust the samples to sound however you like.

I was wondering as well... Then I had a look into the PDF manual. And it's really disappointing ! Operating the mic FX is actually VERY cumbersome to : you actually don't have ANY live possibilities with the mic input on the DJ-505 ! You have no other choice than "tweak" the settings through the System Settings procedure, i.e. power on the unit while pressing "Load A", then hit the 1-4 buttons on the TR-S to set the low pass, noise gate, effect, and effect value, respectively. Damn Roland ! They put plenty of knobs on the VT-3 section of the DJ-808, but here you have absolutely ZERO chance to live-edit the mic sound on the DJ-505. Very odd and very weird design choices, to say the least !

Yes, you can set up one-shots, etc through the software.

Sir I have been using this product for few years while playing for the gig its freeze thought my laptop issue changed my laptop but problem seems with the Controller from beginning how can I solve this problem

Hello Hagen, well a couple of things to consider, your laptop if its an older model with an older OS and you are running a current serato software it can cause issues however if you are running a new OS and or laptop keep in mind sometimes controllers in general do require update themselves such as audio drivers and or firmware updates. these can help drastically. you can also reach out to serato.com if your still have difficulties if you have done all the necessary updates on your laptop and or controller. hope this helps. What's the difference between the505 nad the 808 controller?

808 has 4 channel mixer. 505 has only 2. Also the 808 has displays in the jog wheels, the 505 does not. But that same info also displays in Serato.

dont get the 808 everyone i know stopped useding the Voice Transformer thats its selling point , its all about the drum machine the Voice Transformer is nice but gets old fast ......just get the 505 you will be happy

My play button plays when it wants to on my 505, is it the button or something else? This caused me embarrassment at an event and cost me an expo tomorrow

yessir... Can midi map any feature in SDJ, this one in particular is 'hidden' and only accessible when you enter MIDI map mode.

Indeed pretty dope, might do the same on my DJ-808 (it has dedicated PnT buttons, but I would rather use those for beat jump )
