Hey, maybe a dumb question, but I can't figure out how Dane got 96 Armor at 2:35. By my count he should have only gotten 80 armor because he plays the 8/8 deathrattle (that's two deathrattle activations). Then he cubes it. The cube's deathrattle activates twice giving 2*2*2=8 more activations for a total of 10. So how am I missing 2 more activations that would give 96 armor total?

@@AB0BA_69 Playing the cube also activates the deathrattle. 1 activation for playing the demon - 1 for cubing it - 4 from the summon = 6 activations * 2 (double deathrattle) * 8 armor = 96 armor

Was literally just thinking about this deck, earlier today. Glad to see you pick it back up, Dane, its one of my favourites to see played.

I think it would be hard to make the joke work with actual meathooks and the alien eating skin, as that kind of gives away the whole coy aspect of what the alien is doing. Probably the less graphic, and more suggestive it is the better the joke works. Suggestive bits like having the alien salivating, licking its lips, using a toothpick through the pitch, and using words like "plump" and "luscious" that might describe healthy skin but are a bit more suggestive of food, etc would work well. Script: An alien is standing on the bridge of his space ship, behind him, amid the rest of the alien gadgets and panels on his spaceship, there is a curiously out of place propane grill with faint smoke rising from it. "Male human! Why have dry, tough, cracking, flavorless skin when you could have moist, luscious, tender skin? Regularly basting your skin in Lumin Men's Skincare ensures that your skin retains its natural juices in hight heat." The alien pauses the pitch and walks to a pit, then lowers a bucket full of Lumin skin care products down into the pit. "Yes, yes, it puts the lotion on its skin." The alien turns back to the camera and resumes the pitch: "Lumin Men's Skincare Products are specialized to your unique skin type. I'm waiting for all of the comments supporting the advert pitch. Sounds genuinely fun.

Dane is to deathrattle rogue as Roffle is to Yogg druid, and I love watching them both.

For some reason I basically see Dane’s pitch for men’s skincare is “It puts the lotion on the skin!”

For your skin care ad, you could start with this alien making some food, maybe breakfast, but you cant see what they are making. They are also talking about the importance of skin care while they are cooking. saying cliche things like "Your skin is your largest organ, do some good for it." and "A little love makes everything a little better" The reveal happens as they finish up the meal they are preparing, and the discussion transitions from talking the virtues of skin care to talking about how healthy, fresh, locally -sourced ingredients make for the best meals (using phrases you could say about both, like: "Soft and silky skin", "With 100% natural ingredients.", and "Packed with tons of nutrients"), and then just serve up something skin-like...a very carby lasagna maybe?...into a bowl while dead-panning the camera. Then he takes a bite, and says something like "You can taste the difference"...immediately cut to the product display. Or you can think of an old food-related slogan from back in the 80s or 90s, something that could be tweaked and creepily applied here...like..."Beef (Skin). It's whats for dinner" and "breakfast of champions"...or you have a little kid and turn to him and say "Mikey likes it too"

I hope hearthstone makes a card for some of the creators, Dane should Dane the bone roller.

Could just be the alien eating strips of something from a chicken bucket. At the end of the commercial he pulls half human arm out of the bucket and takes a bite just as the ad ends.

You could have the alien slip words like delicious, fresh, rich, fluffy texture and buttery creamy in his sales pitch if they don't like the visuals of eating the skin. :D Also dust mites eat dead skin sells so if it looks like that it could give it that little extra look of skin eating creature.

You could have two aliens talking about what the best place to eat human is. One suggests "KFH" for example. They say the skin tastes so good. It must be the secret recipe. Then a shot pans out of the skin care product.

God I hope Dane gets to do that ad because that sounds amazing.

Hey guys, Dane's content just convinces me to go back to playing Hearthstone, then I do it for a couple weeks try my hand at duels or try a wacky deck in constructed, get rolled over by tier 1 decks and give up on the game again. Do you have any recommendations for fun, rather budget decks to climb in either standard or wild. This seems like the best candidate with the least amount of epics and legendaries I have ever seen in a wild deck but I would appreciate further input too.

I think you just have to accept the fact that if you play “wacky” decks and keep queueing into bad matchups or highly optimized Tier 1 decks, you are most likely going to lose often. If you watch any Dane stream, its not like he’s always winning and demolishing Pirate warriors that highroll him. Unlucky streaks happen, and he gets frustrated often too.

You could do aliens use male human skin as sand paper joke

Is it worth crafting Anka and Teron for this deck? (Or just Anka) I have all the other cards but not those two, and I'm not sure I wanna drop 1,600 or 3,200 to round out this deck. It seems at least Anka is rather crucial, so I'm wondering if people think she's a worthwhile investment?

Anka is a pretty big boost to the deck. Teron may not be as necessary but it does some pretty crazy things, so probably worth as well. It's the less flexible legendary for sure.

A couple of aliens eating at some restaurant. Food (skin), horrible. Dry. Hairy. And then they go to another new, fresco, hip, restaurant, only to find out, yes, the best skin they ever eaten. They can just pull it off the human because is so tender, so soft and clean. Finally, as they are leaving, they drop a 5Stars and a review for other to try. Hope you can make it, mate. First match with this deck (dont have teron so i replaced it with the 5 mana blood elf that that makes a copy of minions u draw). I burnt my weapon after casting bones, then i had to face the only guy who runs sylvanas and had revives and rebirth on that while i had shit in my hand after using anka and a few good minions. anyway, i barely lost. then second game and boom burn weapon again wtf :D. at least i won second match in turn 7 :D

Or hell maybe even get the alien interested in the man having dry skin so it comes off easier and so you need the product to protect yourself against skin stealing aliens

In most of these games Dane drew Anka and could play it on curve to enable the insane combos this deck can pull off. Also having Roll the Bones or not is a big deal as you don't have much card draw otherwise. Some games you just sit there with Cubes, Owls and stuff in hand, while you get smorc'd down by aggro.

The problem with the alien pitch is that with ads your goal is to motivate the client into wanting the product, the initial part of an alien pitching is fine, but if you then dupe them with the "the alien only wanted to eat you" it loses the incentive for the client to buy the product, it would now be a negative. It's a fun idea for a skit, but the concept fails on incentivizing purchase.
