Roger Hodgson - Give a Little Bit (Live)

What a night! For the first time ever, Roger Hodgson, legendary singer/songwriter and formerly of Supertramp, gave a concert at 4:00AM! Due to multiple plane delays that were out of his control, he arrived extremely late and people were waiting! The show must go on and on it went! A great night was had by all and memories were made to last a lifetime. What a connection Roger has with his fans! Here is this video, Roger is performing his classic, Give a Little Bit, which he wrote and composed when he was 19-years-old. The timeless, universal message is just as relevant today, if not more so, then when the song was released.
Roger not only gave us Give a Little Bit, but also other classics such as Dreamer, Take the Long Way Home, Breakfast in America, The Logical Song, Hide in Your Shell, Fool's Overture, School, It's Raining Again, and so very many more. Many people do not realize that although Roger and Supertramp's other co-founder shared writing credit, they actually wrote and composed separately with each singing their own songs.
You don't want to miss the opportunity to see him performing his timeless classics plus fan favorites from his solo albums. Roger performs in a variety of formats to include solo, with band, and with symphony orchestra. Roger is currently in the midst of his World Tour and selling out shows all over the globe in addition to receiving fantastic reviews from media and fans alike. For tour information, visit Roger's site at www.RogerHodgso... or his facebook page at / rogerhodgson . "Like" Roger's page while you're there!
Be sure to visit Roger's official KZread channel - / rogerhodgson and also follow Roger on Twitter at / rogerhodgson
The Roger Hodgson Store is the only place you can buy directly from the artist and get his autographed CDs. Visit www.RogerHodgso...
See what fans are saying -
"It may have been the BEST concert I have ever seen. Roger's voice is even better than it was when he was with Supertramp. My friends and I were blown away by your sheer talent. I would highly recommend anyone to go see Roger live if they can."
"Your music and more importantly, your enthusiasm for expressing your music to the audience is inspiring ! I felt that you sang each and every song with a passion ... not just a empty or bland repetition of sameness ! Thank for a wonderful evening !"

2 players, no backing, no autotune, no stupid dancers covering up, just a great song, sung by the guy who wrote it and his sax player filled a stage. Brilliant.

Absolutely. I've got a Supertramp compilation somewhere and Give A Little Bit is one of my favourites but I don't know that much about the band. I doubt if many people would have blamed him for pulling out, especially when one considers that this show took place on the Faroe Islands, a fairly remote place with a small population. The fact that he went ahead with the show at 4 a.m. says a lot about his integrity as a person and as a musician. It also shows the deep respect he felt towards the Faroe Islanders themselves. The world needs more people like him.

A song plucked right from the center of Supertramp's incredible 1970's 4 album run: "Crime of the Century...Crisis What Crisis?...Even In The Quietest Moments...Breakfast In America" I was in my prime (20's) and so were they.
