Roger Federer Practice 2014 BNP Paribas Open Part 1
Спорт
The Maestro, Roger Federer in a practice session at the 2014 BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells CA. Fed's practices draw such a large crowd, they have to designate a small stadium court to accommodate all the fans.

This practice session had more spectators than 2 of 3 grand slam finals this year
His backhand and forehand is just too beautiful to watch. Not to mention his serve. Best form with best skill. The Greatest Player of All Time ROGER FEDERER

@@AdiBacea what a Muppet you are. Do you have half a braincell? He was talking about prime Roger. Nobody in history is better than prime Roger. Even prime Marat Safin is better than prime Djokovic. Djokovic accomplished alot though. Djokovic definitely top 5 of all time
To appreciate what you are watching, one must play the game. The ease with which depth, direction and speed of shot are controlled and maintained for rallies of 20 + shots is a thing of beauty which will not be seen again when he finally hangs up the racquet. It is the art form of a Master.

In the presence of greatness, I would want to cheer for every forehand , slice, and backhand from Federer. What an amazing feeling to have a crowd watching you just practice.
His strokes are so smooth it's awesome to watch
Casually hits a half-volley approach shot, brushes away the ball that's at his feet and still looks up in time to put away the volley haha love it

O melhor do vídeo é a mulecada: "pai, você perde de duplo 6x0 do Federer". Criança não mente, rsrs! Pais fodas, parabéns! Abraço!
I think RF is the most naturally graceful athlete I’ve ever see. In any sport and I follow a lot of sports and know full well how many amazing athletes there are in this world.

I love how he "slaps" the ball as though he does not care where it's going to go, so fluid.

Sir, that's the point of perfect tennis shot! You need to relax you arm and use it as a "whip" to obtain spin, power and accuracy.
@kxr_s
3 жыл бұрын
Almin Jahic how do you aim and apply perfect spin? I think of it as a whip but it’s so uncomfortable
@ianthebubbian6182
3 жыл бұрын
@@kxr_s The essence of a whip is not having to use any effort at all, but producing a "snap" at the end without actually using it. If you let the racquet head drag through the entire stroke, and lead the stroke by rotating your hips (the base of the stroke) rather than through your shoulders or wrist, it creates the effect of the whip naturally.
So relaxed so fluid. There’s no tension.

Hands down the best Federer practice video on KZread! Perfect vantage point and clarity.
I can watch this all day long
hahaha the Brazilian boy speaking in the background. :P
Comentários técnicos da molecada em português Brasil sensacional 😊😊
the sheer sound the pro staff and whatever strings produces coupled with his style is just perfection
Thank you for uploading this video! It's like heaven on earth :)
1. The number of balls he hits at middling warm-up pace is a lot. Much more than club level players like me who are eager to get to full pace balls. 2. His warm up balls have a lot of spin and shape. Still plenty of racket head speed. He doesn't start to flatten out his shots consistently for 7-8 minutes, and then he's still mostly hitting up the middle. A very gradual progression. 3. He keeps his feet moving constantly from the very start of the warm up.
I love the little kid's comments, he's actually very in tune with what a good shot is! Way to go kid! Keep it up!
Man, that's where I am trying to get to. That form is beautiful!

Don Nguyen agree. And other comment about him not breaking a sweat is silly. Him sweating or not, or hitting it hard or not, has ZERO to do with the soundness of his backhand.
cant fit in my head how does federer make it look so easyyyyyyyyyy!!! mindblown!!
I love the way he warms up his forehnad by hitting it with inside-out spin to prepare himself for this shot in the match.
While im not a roger fanboy i do gotta admit that racket of his is fantastic, i had my own custom one made with the same specs(need to replace the strings though) and its great i like how heavy it is and the string patterns just right, its amazing
i don't know how he stands rallying when there are 5 balls on the ground in front of him. My OCD can not handle it!

Wow awesome video of Roger Federer. Thanks for sharing this.
Just pure poetry
Remarkable video. One I watched this over and over not long after it was put up and now come back now to see that it has almost two million views. Given that this is little more than a 10 minute clip of a guy practicing I wonder if the popularity of this clip, what it shows about Roger Federer and tennis and sport isn't something worth exploring.
Half way into the video he cranks up the pace and it's ridiculous how high his shots kick up into the air. They explode off the court when they land.
Nothin more beautiful than the fed slice . So effortless
Thanks for the video I learned alot from it i can now enhance my one-hand backhand and forehand
thank u 4 upload this vid.
this is literally so calming its making me sleepy
He is perfect player...in this world...
poetry in motion...
This is one of the videos that inspired my channel
For those who is interested, Roger uses semi eastern grip for both of his forehand and backhand. And sometime changes to continental with his slices
looks like it takes hardly any effort for Roger. so smooth
He has the best wrist in tennis. Look at his backhand!!

How does Fed already have his 2016 pro staff when it is 2014? Demo?
Sure I can hit rally shots this fast, but it looks so effortless from him! I have to actually try and put my body weight to get shots this fast. And then when it comes to the speed of shots in a match, there is no way I could pull that off. effortless.
