I know it is not only my opinion but I believe that at this moment of time or at least the last few years Roger Federer is the most beloved sportsman of the planet. When Roger plays the whole world tends to take notice :-) And to be fair to his opponents - It is really hard to play against somebody that you know the whole world holds their fingers crossed for.

broken927 no, Serena won so many grand slams because she's had no competition yet when Henin & Cliysters were still playing they beat her but unfortunately they retired early. Since then women's tennis has been abysmal, the men's competition is so much harder with many talented players unlike the women's!

G Kus the talented players that could beat her like Henin, Clijsters etc made her run side to side which is her weakness whereas now she only has to basically stand still & use her power to stop the other players. For me Steffi Graf & Martina Navratilova were better all around players than Serena.

Federer makes Tennis look so Easy and Effortless...He also has the Most Natural Talent than any other player...His shots are on another level than any other player...He also has that very rare "IT" factor like a Michael Jordan...Even if a player passes him in Majors Federer will still be considered the GOAT by the Majority of the Tennis World and Fans...He is also 1 of if not the most Marketable Athlete in Sports...

Wawrinka is an huge fan of Federer, always saying great things about him, and they won the olympic title in double together as well as the Davis Cup, so, don't worry, he isn't annoyed. Those images are from a Match for Africa, for Roger's foundation, that's why he allowed himself doing this (same against John Isner).

I have been a Tennis fan pretty much all my life, since the Mac vs Borg days...and I never thought I'd see anybody like Borg...then along come Federer.

Awwww, he is angel of some sorts. He can't close under pressure. Chokes. You would think that having won 20 GS that should not be a problem. He could have easily had 4 more GS if he hadn't choked. I am one angry Fed fan RN. Game inconsistent. Periods of brilliance are followed by inexplicable shanking and spraying forehands wide in harmless circumstances.
