a funny thing happened when I got my Baneblade it came in the same day as the new guard stuff got released (cuz I got the new Baneblade box) and I was looking at more stuff I might need and another dude walks in who I guess was kinda new to WH 40k or just Imp guard and asks if my Baneblade box that was on the counter is the new Rogal Dorn tank and both me and the dude who runs the store got a little chuckle.

For painting on mine I’m using AK-Mig anti slip paint black on the main tank parts to give to a rough aged metal look combined with liquid masking to creat realistic paint chips

I like this tank and look forward to getting it for my army. Hope we will get some of the Forgeworld heavy tanks in plastic as they seem to do this for the Horus Heresy range. Would love to have some nice heavy tanks for my Walpurgian 3rd.

Nice video …. Apart from gluing the cupolas the wrong way round so the stubber is stopping the main gun mantle from staying in place it’s a nice build …. When you spay the model with undercoat the sponsons will have a more snug fit👍 … thanks for sharing 👍🍻

I have just gotta say this vehicle is an interesting departure from traditional imperial tank design.i mean a large cast turret with more than one hatch is pretty remarkable the neubaunfeuzeug style chassis complete with bow guns(here in the form of nipples) is sort of over the top with the amount of extra guns you can throw on it. But historically speaking i guess you could say its not much different to the pre war US cult of the machinegun. Lore wise i can see most these guns being stripped out. You can't expect to fit another 5 crewmen into the vehicle to man them, and you can't expect the driver to be doing his job propperly whilst trying to shoot up something with multiple machineguns/meltas. Also the weapons could be better employed elsewhere. Like dispersed among the infantry rather than a single vehicle which cops a shell and burns out.

When i decide i want mudguards on my tank I'll cut out the section of track you'll never see. And that way you can glue it elsewhere on the tank as spares or improvised armour.

I’m hoping that the looseness the plug and play weapons is so that when you paint them the added friction doesn’t stop them from going in. Otherwise I’m sure it’s not that hard to magnetize.
