Rod sounded SO good here. He’s always so generous too, never has a problem sharing the spotlight.

The rasp in Bonnie's and Rod's voice fit this song so well. Great cover of a great song.

I tell you I will sob for weeks when we lose Sir Rod. I have been in love with him since Maggie May. I was 6 years old and I wanted my mom to play it over and over. She refused. But after that any song by him on the radio I had to memorize. I wanted to take the lyrics and music into my cells. Saw him in concert the first time in ‘84. And I was in awe! I couldn’t believe I was actually in the same place as him. Saw him again in ‘88 and it was just as great. He was so electric and full of energy. Yep he’s my longest celeb crush.

My 12 year old son, absolutely loves radio 2 , we took him out of school because continuously being bullied, we now home school him, and he has radio 2 on while learning. Thank you radio 2 for your wonderful music 🌹

Even more amazing considering he had a throat operation and was told he would never be able to sing again, he had to learn all over from scratch. Some complain that when he performs his old classics (Maggie May, Reason to Believe etc) he doesn't put the same effort in, not true, Rod had to learn to sing them again and had to adapt to his 'new' singing voice. As for Mr Angove, I'll take notice of your comment when you've sold as many records as Rod.

Reminds me of hearing Maggie Mae in 1971 sitting at a pool in Kennybunkport Maine. So grateful to Rod for all the incredible iconic music!

Rod Stewart ..... is an example to all especially in the entertainment business, stay disciplined, healthy, grounded .... so professional an artist he runs the show! thank you for your dedication.

I was there in the 70’s to experience Maggie Mae and all the releases of his great music. Love that gruffly voice.

That was absolutely fantastic, loved it, can't believe Rod will be 102 years old next week ❤❤

Rod and Micheal are two of my favorites. Love them!!!! That raspy voice on Rod and smooth voice on Micheal Buble.

I've been a Rod fanatic for decades...he is absolutely incredible. I melt at the sound of his voice. Sigh.

Honestly we saw Rod Stewart when we were in Laughlin, Nevada two years ago. We thought it would just be an old fart (we are younger but come from his early music time) thing and holy hell. It was an outdoor concert and it was full and we were still the older ones. You should have seen the young there. It was an AMAZING show, he never stopped and he sounded the same. I would highly recommend any concert to anyone thinking of going.

Saw Rod with the JBG in July of 69, only a few weeks before Woodstock. Pure magic, no one can compare with Rod, such an incredible voice! ( The group disbanded before Woodstock) Rod and Ronny joined the Faces.

Those were the best yrs of my life ... sadly I heard my first love passed away 2 yrs ago, we were together for 5 yrs, missed her so much. It's true that first love never dies.

Oh wow. Stumbled on this... I always thought Bonnie and Rod had very similar "rasps" in their voices in the 1970s (I really was quite young) - this is such an inspired cover. Rod, you still got it.
