I was a bit skeptical upon reading the comments on Reddit so I went to watch the movie with zero expectations. To my surprise (and a pleasant one at that), the cinema was full house! The movie was enjoyable and I had the biggest laugh whenever Ranveer gets all Rocky 🤣🤣🤣 the cast did an amazing job! Will watch it again if time permits.

The film is basically a propaganda to glorify Punjabi man Bengali girl couplings in India. Bollywood has been doing this propaganda for ages.😁🤣

I thought this would be a silly movie but I still gave it a go. Boy, was I wrong! It's a very progressive movie with strong eye-opening messages to the society. I hope this movie brings about positive changes.❤

The movie was absolutely AMAZING as it challenges the stereotypes and norms of the Indian Society that used to be much more progressive in ancient times, but has stooped to a new low by celebrating patriarchy and misogyny. The retro and original songs, coupled with the stellar performance of the cast makes the movie easily surpass over-the-top masala movies such as pushpa,kgf,etc. Hats-off to the writers for giving the audience a thought-provoking glimpse of family, society and life. ❤❤

Patriarchy have always existed in traditional Indian society. In fact in any pre modern society in an agrarian based economy, patriarchy guaranteed survival. Your claim that pre modern specifies were not patriarchal is completely ahistorical. Also the modern understanding of patriarchy which is mostly a western view of European patriarchy is completely differentiated from the Indian subcontinent patriarchal practices. Felt somewhat nostalgic seeing my favourite childhood actor Dharmendra again on screen. This movie had me all smiles and also in tears. Loved💞💞💞 seeing Dharmendra and shabana scenes. Ranveer and alia💞 Beautiful movie and dance...dhindora baje re step are catchy.. would be a dance hit. I hope director casts sriti Jha in a movie soon.

7.5/10 Just came out of the theater. Total family entertainer!! this is Karan Johar reminding us he is still got it!!! The movie was almost 3 hours long but it doesn't feel like it. movie is filled with Bollywood nostalgia. Ranveer and Alia have great chemistry and both looking great!!, amazing work from the veterans and rest of the cast. There were 1 or 2 scenes in in the 2nd half that felt a bit dragged out, but we quickly get past them. Go enjoy this movie with your family, this will remind you of the fun times you had in theater when you watched movies such as Kuch Kuch Hota hai, K3G, and more. I will watch this movie again when released in OTT.

This is my second time watching this movie....the really first time was when it was released but i couldn't watch ut full and skipped some part BUT today was the day!!! Literally loved this masterpiece! Just finished watching this...I can't describe the emotions I'm feeling right now! This movie had everything which you look for these day in Bollywood...the actors,screenplay, background everything is just out of the world! Especially the songs my god each and every song depicts different emotion,kamleya is my most favourite! I don't know why this movie was got so much hate when it was release well probably because not everyone has same taste anyway I LOVED THIS! and would do anything to watch it for first time again god!

Honestly my expectations were low. But I am impressed with trailer 👍🏻.

@@NikhilKumar-ee4yzumm that’s the whole point of the movie I guess. She is from a high class family and he is not. Hence, he is a chapri. But the entire comedy is carried by ranveer only. Alia can’t do comedy.

@@deepaktiwari4899 ek movie mein kharab hone sab kharab nahi hota hain. Baki dil dhadakne do, simmba, sooryavanshi, jayeshbhai jordar. Sabke uska comedy mast tha.

Just watched today! Like everyone else, i thought it would be a typical kj movie. But it completely turned out to be great.❤

Hats off to Ravneer . He must be a very very secure creative artist who despite being a mega star accepted a gutsy role that is allowing himself to be the target to spread the right message. Also to allow a script that practically allows Alia to dominate every scene. She did it for him in Gully boy, now I guess it’s his turn to take a backseat

Been a long time i saw such a satisfying indian movie, felt like i was watching old indian movie with touches of modernity in it. Comic, drama n emotional. I just had to come back and commend it. I didn't want to see this movie as i thought just the typical new movies they do now but i wish i could shout to everyone to watch this. Beautiful dancing and songs. Superb!!

There are alot of Films like these apart from action films Romcom or Romance types Watch- Satya Prem ki Katha Tu jhoothi mai makkar(Not so Cultured) thought Brahmastra (supernatural)

I thought it's going to be silly but thumbs up to Alia and Ranveer. Such a great chemistry. I really enjoy every scene. Great cast. Both main cast are perfect for the roles.

That “Ghar Nahi Toda Karte” Dialogue by Dharam sir shows what the Legendary Acting actually is

Same I love this movie! Everything about it the chemistry of Ranveer and Alia, the actors, the story and the messages love it so much!! Watched it three times in theatre can watch 20 more times waiting fir ott! 10/10 movie must watch!

When I watch the teaser of this move the I thought this movie will go like silly but today after watching the movie I got emotional. Excellent movie love with Alia and Ranveer acting also other actors

I watched half of the movie and I thought I would die from boredom.
