Rocky Mountain National Park Colorado | RV America Y’all
Rocky Mountain National Park | US National Parks | RV America Y'all
This week we take you along as we check another item off our travel bucket list... stunningly beautiful Rocky Mountain National Park in amazing Colorado.
We'll get our National Parks Passport Book stamped at several of the park visitor centers, explain a bit about the national parks reservation system, take in the incredible views, learn some history and stretch our legs on a hike in the rain.
We get a lot of questions about our National Parks Passport. It's a great way for us to keep track of the fun places we visit in the US National Parks system. You can find them on Amazon: amzn.to/3znsfQw
Rocky Mountain National Park has been a dream destination for us for decades. We definitely look forward to visiting the Rockies and beautiful Colorado again in the future.

We are Tom and Stacie Langland, known for 10 years as RV Texas Y'all.
We are Native Texans and Full-Time RVers who are all about exploring the Great State of Texas and America one campground at a time. We're on a mission to experience life, not just live it and we're bringing you along for the fun.
In 2018, we sold our house, our business and gave away just about everything we own to hit the road and see America. Our home is a 33' motorhome named Freedom. We installed an extreme solar and lithium battery setup so now we can camp just about anywhere with our dog (Star) and our cat (Astro).
Every day is a new adventure, so join us as we RV America Y'all.
Safe Travels and Happy Camping!

Thanks for watching! We LOVED our time in Rocky Mountain National Park last summer. What an amazing place! Next week, we’ll share more from our time in the park with a scenic drive through the park on an historic road.

🆒 we didn’t get to stay in the campground!
Now you can see how much the weather of the mountains influences our weather here in Denver. The mountains can be our savior or our greatest “enemy”….anywhere from Chinook winds to upslope snows. It’s wonderful living in the Great State of Colorado!!! ❤

We visited RMNP in October 2015 during the elk rut and got to hear them bugling. It was beyond amazing. We saw many elk close to the road as well as some big horn sheep. We were on a vacation road trip at the time and only had one night to spend in the area but did get to drive Fall River Rd from the East to the Alpine Visitor Center. This has been a bucket list park for me since I was a kid and know we didn't do it justice. We will go back. Thanks for sharing.

Love your video. This is a place we want to go this year. I know you travel with a dog and cat. Where are they when you go sightseeing? How long are you able to leave them in the rv? We have two dogs and worry about this.
@rvamericayall
Жыл бұрын
With our solar and lithium on our RV, that gives us backup and keeps the AC’s on if the power goes out so we don’t have to worry about that. Star is a big dog & can be in the RV for up to 10 hours before needing to go out but we usually don’t stay out that long! We take Star many times on trails but dogs aren’t allowed on National Park trails.

The issue is not filming itself, as long as you don’t have a production crew, etc. The issue comes when you post it on KZread. That makes it a commercial film, which is against the rules. RMNP can be pretty persistent in sending a violation notice, with fines once it is posted. Just FYI….

A bit confused about posting to KZread and permits. How does it work? Many KZreadrs no longer post anything inside the park. They show the sign, but nothing from inside the parks that are national. I don’t understand what the rule is for posting in national parks.
Are you two out of breath at that elevation?

Sorry about that! We will try and do better next time!
Thank you as always, enjoyed the video and comments, it’s the reason my wife and I love your work. Only 1 complaint: the music was really annoying! Too loud, fast and out of place, detracts from the beauty of the location, and added nothing to the video. Neither of us could remember this happening in any other video we have seen. Anyway, looking forward to many many more videos, hopefully with less intrusive (or even no) music.
@rvamericayall
Жыл бұрын
Thanks Neil, music is one of those necessary evils because without it people drop off quick. However sometimes I get it too loud, it’s a little tougher than it seems because on the road we don’t have room for a big sound board like they have in Hollywood but I will watch that more in the future. 😊

I think I got it a little too loud and not sure I still like the song choice but as they say, you can’t win them all! 😊
Wife and I have been watching your channel for a few years and love your videos. But so many of the KZread content makers are going overboard with their editing. Playing the music way too loud and making long introduction to their videos. I think some are thinking they are Universal Studios or something. That drives away viewers like me. I have unsubscribed from a few of the RV KZread channels because their success went to their heads. I really hope you guys don't go that direction because your down to earth style is what we like about you and your channel.
@rvamericayall
Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback but believe me nothing is going to our heads but if we don’t put in music a lot of folks will quit watching. We just got the music a little too loud. Unlike Hollywood we don’t have high end equipment and soundboards to always get it right. Hopefully you understand and keep watching because we are going to continue to do the best that we can to keep the content coming & watchable.

@RV Texas Y'all great to hear. Thank you. We enjoy your content and enjoy hearing what you are saying. I understand the music just got a little loud, no problem. Just didn't want to see you turn like some of the other RV KZread channels where they think they are movie stars and Hollywood producers. We enjoy your channel and hope it doesn't change. Looks like you two are having a lot of fun in your travels. We get good recommendations from your reviews of some of the parks. Safe travels.
