Trail Ridge Road Complete Scenic Drive | Rocky Mountain National Park | Colorado

Trail Ridge Road Complete Scenic Drive | Rocky Mountain National Park | Grand Lake to Estes Park CO
When we visited Rocky Mountain National Park in August 2022, we were absolutely amazed by the stunning and unique beauty that we experienced during our drive along historic Trail Ridge Road from Grand Lake, Colorado to Estes Park, Colorado. We knew we had to share it with you!
Reaching elevations of over 12,100 feet above sea level, Trail Ridge Road is the highest continuous paved highway in America, and one of the most talked about scenic drives amongst travelers.
In our opinion, Trail Ridge Road is a bucket list scenic drive that everyone should experience. But due to extreme weather at these elevations, the window of opportunity to drive the entire length of Trail Ridge Road is limited to only a few months each year. And the weather can change quickly on any given day. (On another day of our visit here, it was 70+ degrees in Grand Lake CO and sleeting at the Alpine Visitor Center!)
So in this video, we strapped the camera to the Jeep and set off on a JeepCam adventure during a beautiful summer morning to share the experience of driving the entire length of amazing Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park.
Along the way we'll pass through 4 distinct ecosystems (including Alpine) and share tidbits of information that we learned about the terrain, plants and wildlife that call Rocky Mountain National Park home. And for our fellow history buffs, we'll share a few interesting facts about the history of this iconic highway known as Trail Ridge Road.
So grab a snack, sit back, relax and join us as we drive what has been called a "scenic wonder road of the world"... US Highway 34, otherwise known as the unforgettable Trail Ridge Road.
Note: This video was filmed in August 2022, prior to the filming rule changes within the National Parks.

We are Tom and Stacie Langland, known for 10 years as RV Texas Y'all.
We are Native Texans and Full-Time RVers who are all about exploring the Great State of Texas and America one campground at a time. We're on a mission to experience life, not just live it and we're bringing you along for the fun.
In 2018, we sold our house, our business and gave away just about everything we own to hit the road and see America. Our home is a 33' motorhome named Freedom. We installed an extreme solar and lithium battery setup so now we can camp just about anywhere with our dog (Star) and our cat (Astro).
Every day is a new adventure, so join us as we RV America Y'all.

My first experience of Trail Ridge Road was with a group of Harley Owners riding up July 1994. Being a new CO resident and lifetime flatlander from Houston TX I was blown away by the beauty. We even found sleet at the very top! Thank you for giving me some wonderful memories! Have a Bless Easter Sunday!

In 2006, my wife and I took my mom and dad there. We stayed just outside the west entrance of the park. There was a bull moose at the RV park that appeared not to pay much attention to people. I got up before sunrise and was fishing a Dr. Pepper from the cooler in my truck when I realized he was within 10 feet of me eating a shrub. I stepped to the other side of my truck as fast as I could without running. We saw several moose after entering the park . There were quite a few elk and deer across on the east side of the park.
