What makes the movies so good is the characters are so real. You understand Apollo and Tony's motivation. Rocky and Adrian are very real. Most people relate to being down and out. The dynamic between Rocky and Adrian. He needs her support and she gives him the strength to see it through.

The baby is Sylvester Stallone's son Sage Moonblood Stallone. He tragically died of heart disease at age 36 in 2012. He also played Rocky Jr in later films.

Actually, not the case. Ray Walston is the actor who portrays Poopdeck Pappy (Popeye's father) is that film. Both characters have a gruff demeanors but Walston was 7 years younger than Meredith.

Rocky 2. People in the theatre were screaming get up Rocky and a thunderous applause roared after Rocky won. The best of the entire film series. Can't wait for your reaction to Rocky 3. Also hoping you react to the 2nd Rambo movie

In the first Rocky film... people often repeat that Rocky wanted to prove to himself that he wasn't just another bum from the neighborhood but never mention WHY. Rocky wanted to propose marriage to Adrian, but he needed to prove to himself that he was worthy of her. He wanted to go "the distance" with the world heavyweight champion to prove to himself that he was offering Adrian something worthy of her hand in marriage. That was the entire point. In Rocky 2, "the fates" gave Adrian back to Rocky.... so when Adrian tells him to win...... it means to Rocky that he owes Adrian, and the fates... to win the fight for her. She requested he win and nothing was going to stop him. He owed a debt to the universe for giving Adrian back to him. Rocky's fights are based on having a reason to fight. Something to fight for.

One of the most inspirational movies of all time for me.

Excellent sequel "Rocky II" is one of those sequels that is just as good as the original, if not better in some aspects. I can't say it's better than the original because you can't have the second film without the first one. Meaning that this film does not stand on it's own, you need the first film to understand the characters and back-stories of everything in this film. But all in all, I think "Rocky II" is slightly more enjoyable than the original "Rocky".

Apollo wasnt happy just beating rocky ,he didn't expect rocky to keep fighting until the last round and thought he would be a easy target, which rocky proved him wrong in rocky 1 Rocky however wanted go the distance, in other words fight until the last round and last ring bell which he did in Rocky 1 against apollo. Now rocky also wants the heavyweight championship aswell as going the distance again with Apollo.
