I remember when this movie first came out and I saw the promo posters around. I had never seen Hellboy in comics or any other media up close so I thought they were goggles as well!

Prof. Bloom was played by the same actor (John Hurt) who was Olivander the wands merchant in the Harry Potter series.

I am glad the studio pick Ron Perlman play as HellBoy.

To me, no one can play Hellboy better than Ron Perlman

Ron Perlman (Hellboy) has *almost* as many heavy-makeup credits as Doug Jones (Abe Sapien). Ron played for several years under makeup in the TV show, "Beauty and the Beast" (1987 - 1990. NO relation to the Disney film!!), he also played a goat-man, the "Sayer of the Law" character, in the 1996 film "The Island of Dr. Moreau," among many other wonderful roles through his career. He was 54 years old when filming the first Hellboy movie! Doug Jones (Abe) was "Billy" in Hocus Pocus, he was in Pan's Labyrinth, The Shape of Water, Star Trek Discovery, and a long long list.

Several hundred thousand Russians collaborated with the Germans during WW2. However this was a small number compared to those who fought against them.

In the famous science program Mythbusters, the team attempted to reproduce the effect of Hellboy punching on a car's hood to flip it, or at least make it stop. You might like to see that show to know if they succeeded.

I love this movie! With that being said, Hellboy II is one of the quite a few times, where a sequel surpasses the original.

Nice to see you ladies watching this classic del Toro film!!!! This film and the sequel "Hellboy II: The Golden Army" (2008) are worth seeing!😉 The reboot is not very memorable.

Ron Perlman is Hellboy and the later attempt at rebooting the character failed because the later version lacked Ron Perlman classical style which was not to be recreated. Good reaction as always ladies as you are both classy and energetic in your reactions.

This movie and its sequel are both gems

Kroenen had a bad ass suit design too in the opening scenes

Ron Perlman did a great job playing Hellboy, David Harbour did good too but Ron has him beat especially with the voice

I've never heard of Hellboy until i saw the previews of this movie. It intrigued me enough to see it in theaters and i truly enjoyed it. Ron Perlman is perfect for the role.

Ellie, you like 'Ello Ello ?!?! That was from when I was a kid. We went to London to watch the live stage show. So funny. My fave was always Michelle... "Uhhhhhhh RENE !" As you enjoyed this you should do Pan's Labyrinth... same director and has the fish guy (Doug Jones) playing a magical faun.

Hellboy 2004 is an awesome comic book film and I love the mix between Gothic and HP Lovecraft. Look forward to Hellboy 2: The Golden Army reaction

Hellboy released in 2004 since 20 years ago because I’ve got hellboy dvd and I’ve haven’t watched hellboy but I❤️the movie but Ellie and Michelle have watch the movies a lot and I❤️it
