Rocks by Rail. The living Ironstone Museum.Cottesmore.Rutland.wmv

I was invited to the Rocks by Rail museum to video the arrival of the new loco "Rhos".While there I took the opportunity to video some of the exhibits.
As the the museum was closed to the public there was not a lot of movements.RBR is well worth a visit, check out the open days and relive the days of Ironstone mining. The guys and gals at the museum are very enthusiastic and have many idea's on how they intend to improve and extend this museum.

When were back to normal you could visit our club and Rocks by Rail as they open on the same day as us and are three miles apart. So you could do the two in a day.Plus a visit to the lovely Rutland Water,Britains biggest man made reservoir.Well worth a visit all three.

@@wooltman Sounds like a plan! I did visit Rutland Water a few years ago and would have visited Rocks by Rail had it been a weekend day.
@robmasterman Thanks a lot Bob for your kind comments, will try and video the renovation of this loco. Looking forward to Pembrey and meeting you, what day will you be there?

@steamingalan You be a share holder!
Do you know if they have still got their dragline 22RB? I went there for one of their operating days and where the digger play pen was and where their dragline was meant to be it’s just a weedy patch of grass. Not saying it’s a bad museum I love it but I’m just wandering where it went.
