Agreed. But think of how much it would cost to make a sequel. You've got Mark Strong, Tom Hardy, Idris Elba, Thandiwe Newton, Gerard Butler, Toby Kebbel. You could bring back Jeremy Piven & Ludacris but they seem less central to the plot of a sequel than the others.

@@Metfan722 You make a bunch of valid points. It would certainly cost them alot to bring all of those actors back. I don't think they'd need Thandie Newton either as I'm pretty sure her character got wacked by the Russian billionaire towards the end of the first one.

Hes in a version of Ben Hur. He plays the Roman and is brilliant. Watch it, acting at its best. It also stars Morgan Freeman. Find it on DVD as you are in for a real treat!!

It took me a couple times of watching this to understand and appreciate the psychology behind it all. It's become one of my favorite films.

The Real Rock n Rolla !

One of the best endings. You can just about see the “fuuuck!” look on Archie’s face, because he knows a gangster with the cunning and wit like Johnny’s will be a terrifying force to be reckoned with.

This was a good movie, felt like it was trying a little too hard at times to be as clever as Snatch though. Lock Stock is also better.

C'mon WHEN is Guy Ritchie doing the sequel we've ALL been waiting for?!

Guy Richie has basically created his own sub genre........ there's gangster films and then there's Guy Richie gangster films like Lock Stock, Snatch, RockNRolla and The Gentleman.

Never stop been a rock & rolla

oh damn... I wasn't going to watch this. I saw this beauty for the last time a few years ago. The last scene I quoted aloud about 2 hours ago was in the bathroom. Gathering at Len's at night after he realized someone had stolen the painting 😂 Almost every day I mention and talk about at least one sentence or issue. I remember having this movie fresh out of release - I had it on my laptop. Poor image quality is an understatement. The subtitles (I come from Poland) for the film were a failure - not only was half of it missing, but the translation only spoiled the film. This is how I learned English, film and subtitles because in all the schools I attended the level was poor or I didn't have classes at all. I lived two years in England and when I was just meeting people and talking to them they often told me that I speak English well - especially noting that I have such a specific but good accent 😁. Of course, the two earlier productions of G.R. also a masterpiece and also quoted passionately, but recently a little less often. I just saw how old this movie is. 1/3 of my life this movie accompanies me almost every day!? so to speak, someone also say that he also has it like me... 😆

This movie was heavily inspired by Pulp Fiction. There are a lot of parallels if you stop to think about it.

@acountddd Gangster movies are very cool and intriguing and if you don't like a gangster scene because you think gangsters are terrible in real life then you are most definitely bringing in real-world values into a film. Just let that shit go and watch this movie for being what it is. A cool, slick mob movie. I suggest you take on Guy Ritchie's other "gangster" films like "Snatch" and "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" and see if you like them. They are great gangster flicks.
