The awesome Northern New Jersey band Quality Living took center stage at "Applause in the Plaza" this evening, July 12, 2024. Location: Newark Avenue Pedestrian Plaza.
I could have listened to these great musicians all evening, but, alas, rain was in the forecast. I felt the first drops of rain as the band was finishing its final song. While I headed back to my humble abode, where there is zero air conditioning (but several excellent, oscillating fans), I savored Quality Living's mellow notes and ultracool attitude.😎

    You *know* I had to stay 'til the end. I had chosen my pizza delivery for three hours later, so if the rainshower hadn't turned into a kinda downpour, I surely would've watched and filmed some of the next band's performance. But, y'know, miracle of miracles, I'd paused after exiting my commuter bus to make that phone call to the pizzeria. Otherwise, I would've missed Quality Living. Gosh, these Jersey dudes were sooo mellow! It seems like, among the band's influences, are the Beach Boys. I wish I had my tripod with me so that I could set myself free to sway to their grooves and bop 'round a bit. And heyyy, thank you verrry much for watching the continuation of their set.☺❤

    I agree. Quality Living delivered on high-quality live music. Thanks for joining the impromptu premiere.🤗 I really thought the rainy forecast was gonna pre-empt this evening's "Applause in the Plaza" concert. Oh, and I loved when the guitarist wearing shades noticed lots of people passing by and then quipped: "I'm Christopher and everyone is walkin'." 2:28 🫢🤣
