I think the hardest thing about speed flipping is being near enough 100% consistent with them. Boosting while flipping is annoying sometimes when u have boost bound to circle lol

hold airroll left eliminates the need to learn the "sweet spot". Simply hold airrol left, frontflip, instant cancel and adjust for optimal recovery

If you're going to hold air roll left through the whole thing, I suggest putting your left stick at 1-1:30 clock face position instead. Straight up and ARL will do a 45 degree flip but 1-1: 30 will put you in that 30-25 degree range, which is more optimal.

Literally trying this yesterday and see this today. Timing on point.

Everyone else has said move the stick diagonally upwards and I wondered why it worked about 1 out 10 times. It's such a small angle and quick movement. My mechanics are definitely gonna cause me to drop out of GC soon...

I hold air roll left while flipping straight forward and then flip cancelling as quickly as possible. With some practice it seems just as effective and less complicated.

that's effectively how people on mouse and keyboard do it, since they don't have the directional control of an analog stick. it makes you do a 45 degree diagonal flip, but with how fast you can cancel on a keyboard (a lot faster than on a controller) the loss from it being 45 instead of ~30 degrees is about equal to the gain from cancelling faster

i've struggled with speedflipping for a loooong time now, watched many tutorials and still couldn't get it... and this one didn't help either tbh (sorry) i finally installed bakkesmod and the speedflip trainer plugin and if you **really** struggle with speedflipping that's the only thing that's going to help IMO. you need to be able to actually see and get a sense of what you're doing wrong. I'm finding it near impossible to flip cancel fast enough, it's either too slow or I'm straight up back flipping. I adjusted my stick deadzone so I don't have to take it as far back to cancel and that's helping a bit. also remembering that you don't have to press it all the way to the extremities to flip helps a lot.

What happens when something exceeds the proper amount of litness? What does something “too lit” entail for the universe?

For some reason, flip resets clicked when I watched your video. I think the same is true listening to you describe speed flips.

even at 0.3 game speed i cant do it -.- the mod shows all green but i cant touch the ball. Maybe its the first jump? how mutch time to hold first jump? jo just as fast as possible?

i cannot physically do this. the car just double jumps and spins in the air, and then even when i do a normal flip it does the same thing, help.

You can, but then you need to do it after the speedflip if you do this type of speedflip

Its very difficult to be consistent with this, when I try my car always faces down and crashes with the fllor, this cannot be the correct way, Ive seen people do a speedflip in a more easier way and works for them

you have to be so fast with that cancel. how do people do this consistently... Edit: an hour later. my last attempt 32 degree angle first jump at 525ms cancel at 50ms didnt get the ball everything was green what could i be doing wrong? is it my landing not being smooth enough? Edit2: I think my car is clipping the floor through the flip. But looking at your overlay, you tap X/A quickly which is what I'm doing so im confused lol

Holy fuck. after 5 hours, i finally hit the ball. i did take an hour break. bit still. i can now say ive done it once on musty's training pack. now lets see if i can do it again :V

But Musty says to cancel in the opposite direction (like if youre flipping at 11 o clock, Musty says to cancel at like 5 o clock)? So confused. Both seem to work though. It's when I cancel straight down that the nose of my car seems to go too far downward

On KBM I've heard using the air roll left or right binding is the only way to really do it cleanly

Man, I feel like I just CANNOT get the flip cancel fast enough. I'm an old guy in gamer years and just can't get it fast enough while doing all the other buttons. Doesn't help that I'm KBM and there are very few tutorials that are KBM specific (I know there are some and I've watched them), but the thing that gets me is always the flip cancel speed.

pro tip: get a mouse with side buttons and put directional airoll on them, you can free up fingers to flip cancel

I think it's easier on kbm. You just have to slide your middle finger from w to s. Don't lift it. It works in a mechanical keyboard too, and that's how I do it. Just pulling it from w to s is very fast, and you only need the timing down, it's not really about speed.

its easier on kbm cause you dont need to worry about the perfect angles. What I do is hold W & E (air roll left) for the diagonal dodge then immediately slide my fingers down and hold the S & D keys (diagonal cancel). Its really easy just practice moving your fingers quickly from W&E to S&D

It's just diagonal flip, and cancel by sliding the middle finger from w to s. Lifting the finger is too slow. Then just air roll to land on your wheels. Get the timing down and it's easier on kbm.

Speed flips are what higher level players do off the wall to catch up to the ball after their 1st touch, isn’t it? Because I was wondering how they do that flip off the wall. Thanks for believing in me n.n
