Crazy this even exists really. Within one scene you see so many proper greats - Gregory Isaacs, Kiddus I, Skully, Jacob Miller & Robbie Shakespeare, all in their twenties, arguably at the height of their game...

With Jamaicans being great natural actors I wonder why the new Bob Marley movie has a foreign dude with a dread wig and partly shaved face playing Bob.

Wow love it. Classic for a reason! 🇯🇲 You don't see a lot of modern ailments (depression, eating disorders, anxiety, suicide) in places like this, S. Africa & Nepal. Proves it's better to be "poor" and live a natural communal life away from the rat race like we evolved to live for 100's of 1,000's of years than to sit in front of a computer screen or in traffic jams all day so we can buy things we don't need & stuff ourselves sickly fat with surplusses of junk food. Greed is truly humanity's worst flaw. It drives the worst violence & exploitation on the planet. And for what? Those billionaires are never satisfied, always wanting more. Their only joy comes from having MORE than everyone & seeing others struggle. There's enough to go around & make everyone comfortable but no. I'm continually in awe of how good the weed must've been back then. Was terrible into the 2000s where I was. 😆

This movie is well made am watching in 2023 it it’s 100% captivating I had to rewatch with my girl🥰
I cant never have enough of this movie.🥰
peter tosh didn't appear in this film but sang stepping razor, bunny wailer the same, but he sang bandoolo
Somehow I can rewatch this film endlessly. And I'm not a reggae fan or Jamaican culture in general, I'm into totally different other genres. But it's probably the soul and pure honesty with which this film was made that has my love for it. Always gives me peace 😊

Enjoyed de trip down 'Memory Lane'! Music, vibes, musicians...Gabbicci's,etc!! Reminds me of Jamaica...BEFORE...real violence started!! When money was small...but seemed to be MORE...stronger!! Country even appears cleaner...than at present...!!
Bring back so🎉 many memories . I watch this film repeatedly. So many familiar faces from school days in Kingston.
One of my all time Jamaican classics love all actors but i wait for Gregorys appearance the most.

I was suppose to have worked on this movie, but instead self published my book, with many of the artists who are in the movie, included in my book, titled "PORTRAIT OF A LEGEND AND OTHER FOLKS."
This film is so righteous and musical with real moral and it's nice👍Maybe it's better to say it's great👍👍👍I sent it to one fellow and i truly hope he gonna watch it till the end.

I was honored to Run into Spear in NYC in Fall 1991 or 92 (a bit hazy) ,& he was running low on Ganga. I gladly hooked him up with about 2 Oz. of my finest L.I outdoor Northern lights/Early Pearl Hybrid. He repaid me with full backstage passes . It was unreal ! I met up with him again in 2005 in Ft. Lauderdale . He remembered and we had a blast !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
