You really need to add in 'The Saints' that formed in Brisbane Australia in 1973 when talking about the birthplace of punk. Their demo tapes were sent around the world and their sound was copied by many.

Addendum to the title ( without watching this film )…and the wake of mediocrity that commercialism left behind.

It has nothing to do with fame it has to do with addiction and alcoholism. Unfortunately it seems that a lot of very talented creative people have alcoholism in their family

His practice house was a few doors down from where I lived house on Rainy St.for 13 years. I was so blessed to be a part of the rise of the Austin music culture when it was cool. The pool of human creativity combined with savvy audience made for a crux point in American culture never to be seen or heard again. Thankyou Stevie, RIP.

U2 appears to be primarily the vehicle for Bono's massive ego (and to a lesser extent), "The Edge", who seems to have had a beenie surgically grafted to his head. OK, They created some memorable tunes 40 years ago but lately they have produced nothing of real substance. I thought I'd sit through the video to see if my opinions were unfounded. Sadly they remain exactly the same as before. I noticed that the band's founder, Larry Mullen Jr. never got a single word in or Adam Clayton for that matter. (That speaks volumes)

The first “rapper” in my eyes. This guy was so ahead of his time. Work for peace and The Bottle are my favorite along with We almost lost Detroit. The topics he spoke/made music on were UNMATCHED TO THIS DAY
