Back in the day, I saw Ratt 4 times. Each time they killed it. I saw Motley twice. The first time was ok.. The last time when they had Randy Castillo drumming for them was great musically, Vince sucked. Ratt was phenomenal back then. Truly a great arena band.

You will never see Ratt again obviously but seeing Steven and his band is close enough. Motley Crew are bunch of fakes. If Mick Mars says they used tracks then they did. I'm a professional audio engineer and yes I mixed for national acts and even some international acts in my life time. Trax do have uses but when you are faking vocals and instrument parts, punching in keyboards and rhythm guitar when there is no keyboard player on the stage nor rhythm guitarist then that is wrong. ZZ Topp even did this when they were really big. you could here keyboards, Rhythm guitar and sax with only those 3 guys on the stage. They do not do any of that anymore though. They did it because they didn't want to pay 2 or 3 more musicians to play what they recorded in the studio and eliminator and afterburner. Click trax have been used for years simply because it so hard to hear on big stages. just to keep the drummer in time. sometimes the singer and other musicians will want it also in their monitor to keep time. It has uses to save emergencies like illness and that is the only time it should be used is if the show is booked, one the band members is really sick and maybe can't sing and he is one of the main vocalist. In the past they would just cancel and have to pay a huge bill for that. Now they will use prerecorded trax to be able to pull the show off. Big acts are big money. An arena act can make a million. A stadium act can make many millions but if you cancel you are paying every bill associated with that event.

The 1980's was the best decade to be a rock fan. It was the golden age. RATT, Dokken, Crue, Scorps, Priest, Dio, Ozzy, KISS, and the mighty VH with Roth (78-85) was absolute magic. Even the soft rock like Toto, Journey, Tears for Fears, etc was great, amazing music. Great interview. Pearcys a fucking legend. Top tier all day.

Being born in 1980, I was certainly not old enough to experience the culture, music, etc, but regardless it was a fun time to be a kid and I couldn't imagine what growing up in today's world must be like and im glad I came up when I did, though I wish I had been able to experience the decade in my teens or early 20's!. There are a million bands during this decade that I wish I could have seen in their prime and music spanning straight across the board!. There were so many great bands in All genres of music back then that I only dream I could have grown up listening to and experiencing live!..

But I have many fond memories of being a kid back then and I guess just being a kid, though I certainly wish I could have expected the decade in the same way that you had!..

What i really like about RATT is that, allthough a blues-rock kinda based band, had some elements of Heavy-Metal and at the same time a contemporary sound of that era whilst still distinct and unique. What also made them great where stephens unique voice and the power duo of Robin and Warren.

Ratt has musicianship. Hairband with poppy success, yes, but they could play their instruments well, unlike a lot of other successful artists. For that, I respect them, even if I may prefer death metal. I own a few of their albums. Warren DeMartini shreds, and shreds with nuance. I believe I've heard the Dorian mode in his solos. It complements blues/pentatonic phrasing with a bit more character and complexity.

I still have it!. I just recently attended a ZZ Top concert, & I was talking to a guy while in line to purchase merchandize and he told me that event was very calm with people about our age 53 and no fights just old rockers with battle jackets drinkig a beer & here to have a good time, unlike the newer younger artists that at concerts are lots of fights people taking your shit, etc. I see what you mean! My teen kid, and one in his 20s now they want to see any 80s hair band in concert! But its harder now. Now that most 80s bands hate each other within the band its a shame, and wont play together again since they were and still are the greatest musicians that have ever lived.

Boring same questions "Will you get the original band back together?, How do you write songs? What bands do you listen to today?, Was there any rivalry between bands?, Do you still enjoy playing live?, Any early unreleased music that will eventually come out?, What was the 80's like?

If you are good you can make your own videos and place them on youtube and you will gain support. Some have gotten major label deals because of their creativity and talent and instead of a talent scout finding you in a bar it can be as simple as a social media post that they see.

I can’t hear him playing what is wrong with the sound I can hear him talking but I don’t think he was playing because I cannot hear it but I heard him saying what he was supposed to play.

The comments of Sixx on this situation really made him look like a ass. I mean, it was already out that they did backing tracks on that tour. Soo that's one f*** up. Calling Carmine a washed up drummer. He plays but Nikki Sixx can't. Another f*** up. The situation around MM goes back for years so NS was lying to MM or MM knew the band wanted to replace him. So there was never a friendship how NS wants to claim it. And other musicians who knew them already said that they knew they wanted MM out of the band. And the words of NS saying MM plays the nots wrong. How does NS know that? He can't play....Actually on the albums they should change the bass parts are done by MM and hired help. NS was for the songwriting but with the help from MM.

How do you get a podcast or a KZread channel that you can get a hold of 80’s Metal band’s and also wrestling and movie stars from movies and shows back then I’ve been wanting to do this for years but I can’t go live because I don’t have enough subscribers and I don’t think that’s right because I grew up in the late 60’s threw the 80’s I turned a adult but it’s my favorite era of music movies and shows. And the mini skirts stone washed jeans every thing. But I’m really wanting to get a channel to do this with!!!

I was there and aware when metal got dropped almost immediately in favor of grunge. It wasn't because there weren't metal fans anymore. It was the record company execs. Ruined a lot of careers and lives they did. Happened almost overnight. For no good reason either. I liked grunge when it came along but it didn't make me stop loving metal.
