    So lucky i found this video, only 2 mins into it. I was trying to remove the stock off of mine and since i had hard time finding videos on the rifle and i looked at the manual and it just said to take the nut off and remove the stock i ended up being a dumbass and was like "this thing is toght let me use the wrench" and ended up scratching up the stock after 20 minutes of owning it🤦🏽‍♂️🤣

    As of today, 03/12/23 they are still allowing the mis-threaded ones into circulation. When I contacted Armscor, they said I'd have to return the TM22, BUT at my FFl expense, so I'd have to pay FFl fees for sending it back and to receive it back and where I am that would total $80 out of my pocket. I suggested they send me a properly threaded barrel and I'd return the incorrect one, and that way no need for a FFL as the barrel alone is NOT a firearm, but they refused saying a "gunsmith had to change out the barrel" even though their own owners manual shows you how easy it is to unscrew it and screw it back in, no gunsmith needed. So if anyone is going to buy a TM22, be sure to VERIFY it has the correct 1/2 x 28 threading BEFORE you buy and pay for it.

    An FFL is not needed If you are the owner and already in possession of the firearm. You can ship it directly to the manufacturer, and they can ship it back directly to you, as the owner. There is no need for an FFL to get involved. I've shipped both handguns and long guns to manufacturers for warranty work, and they shipped them back directly to me. As to shipping, there are restrictions on how you can ship; hand guns can be shipped between customer and manufacturer via FedEx, also long guns; long guns can also be shipped via USPS. You used to be able to ship firearms via UPS, but not sure if UPS still does that... they had serious issues with firearms theft during shipping, and resultant liabilities. Always check with the carriers for the latest info/restrictions.

    Not too sure. But if you buy a commercial buffer tube, you will have way more options on the stock. You would be able to buy adjustable stock. The tube that comes with the TM-22 had no holes for the adjustable stock to "lock" into.

    Just the buffer tube and nut. I think it is a commercial buffer tube, NOT a mil-spec. You don't need the spring and buffer weight. They do not have a purpose on this 22 LR rifle.

  • @dustinpribble1546
    @dustinpribble15464 ай бұрын

    The reason u had to rig the buffer tube is bcuz there isn't a "standard" buffer tube, there's mil spec and commercial, the majority of ARs take mil spec. This takes a commercial buffer tube with is different than most on the market. I don't remember which is which but 1 type is a little bigger than the other.... not much but enough that it doesn't fit right. U have obviously used a mil spec

  • @MarkChaney

    @MarkChaney

    Arent the threads a bit different? Will a milspec tube screw in properly to the receiver? The threads seem a bit wider on the commercial tube.

  • @dustinpribble1546

    @dustinpribble1546

    5 күн бұрын

    @MarkChaney the diameter of the tube is different.... which yes impacts how it threads. I don't remember which is the wider 1. But yes it wint go together right, irll be loose. Technically u can use some thread tape or something but I would only do that in absolute emergency bcuz it might impact reliability and might actually tare itself apart through rough wear
