A time when an interviewer asked a question and allowed the guest to answer, saw David live some years ago, wish he'd tour more as he is fantastic humble and humorous

Great interview. Suzanne is definitely a fan :-) Good to hear him talk about his collaborations. I've been hooked since Japan. David's desire for people to experience his music within their own lives has certainly been fulfilled, with me anyway, and I'm sure lots of others... He remains at the forefront of my life's soundtrack for over 30 years and for that I am truly grateful.

I like his use of the term "personalized" in the phrase "it's very important that music be personalized", so different from the 2018 use of the term. Been watching & thoroughly enjoying a lot of Eno, Bowie & Jarvis Cocker interviews lately. I'll gladly add him to my list. Actually, imagine a round table with those 4 guests!

he makes a fantastic point right at the end - unusual music when put into song form sections becomes much more palatable as people realise their is a resolve - rather than a continuous longevity of an unusual sounding pattern.

These interviews must have been carried out in 1986 (rather than the published date of 1988 written here) because of the Gone to Earth references. It's a great interview actually.

Guessing he must have been around mid 20,s here. Why is it it seems the majority of people of the same age these days sound like toddlers in comparison and can barely string a cohesive sentence together?
