It's Japanese "tatami" culture. Some stores are fully carpeted so like entering someone's home, they have you remove your shoes and the store provide you slippers to walk around inside.

I just bought a watch from Time Tunnel! The communication has been efficient. I am looking forward to receiving the watch from them :)
