Ufff man this song!!! It has a deep meaning which is sometimes overlooked even in spanish. La gata (the cat) is a woman in loved with forbidden man. She's singing about the acceptance of being just an affair to her lover. For her all that they had was something beautiful but bitter too.

This is phenomenal. Rocio Durcal is a legend. This was my aunt’s favorite singer and she could sing her songs so beautiful. Both have already passed. Every time I listen to her, it brings back happy memories. 💕💕

One of the best voices of Europe, that Spanish lady was unique.

I found Rocio Dúrcal from my best friend who posted Amor Eterno on her snapchat story and said that the song was so good i didn’t think anything of it and kept scrolling i started to realize that i liked my best friend so one day i decided to listen to amor eterno and i fell in love with Rocio Dúrcal and from that day in listened to her music one day there was a quince and me and her danced together and when the night was over i felt very sad because it’s was over and we really had a connection i felt like in didnt happen as a coincidence she stopped talking to me after a while cause she got a boyfriend and i still liked her and we had a last phone call me and her where we were talking about the songs we love because me and her always used to give each other these old mexican songs that we liked we had so much in common kinda as of she was my soulmate but she was supposed to call me back the day after but she never did now her and her boyfriend are happy together posting each other and living there lives and all i have is these songs that remind me of her. And now Rocio Dúrcal is all i listen to

That's the idea! An older movie with older catachters in a foreing country.

I know this song is about forbidden love but I prefer to think of it as unrequited love. I cant sympathize with cheaters.
